There is some Jeff Garcia in Brock Purdy. Call it character. Jeff got as much out of his talent and the guys around him as anyone. I had a wonderful opportunity to message back and forth with him, for my birthday a few years ago. My distant impression was reinforced. He’s a helluva guy.

Purdy was ranked 31st or32nd in the league in the number of passes within one yard of the line of scrimmage.

bro Brock Purdy made it to a Super Bowl in his 1st full season as the starter. Just amazing. Brocks mobility, poise, stature and leadership all remind me of Drew Brees. He keeps his eyes downfield and delivers. Not the biggest arm but efficient.

Jeff's nickname was a Timex watch. He'd take a licking and keep on ticking. Man, he used to take some shots, and you'd think, no way he's getting up from that hit, and he'd pop back up again.
