Jeffs passion is so obvious and heartening. He loves the show just as much as we do and wants it to be successful. Congrats on this interview, Rob and on on 5000 episodes! Can't wait for Wednesday!
Rob and Jeff are two sides of the same coin. Watching them interact is like watching Batman and Superman; sometimes they fight, sometimes they disagree, but they both work together (either directly or from afar) toward a common goal: providing the best possible content for this show we all love so much.
I love this interview so much. There is just so much passion from both Rob and Jeff about the game. It's why Survivor still works: the creators and fans still care after 45 seasons!
I'm crying with happiness. What an insightful talk. Jeff really seemed to enjoy himself. So proud of you and your team. Thanks for all the hours of entertainment over the years.
Loved getting this blindside of a notification. 🤯😩 The Evolution of Rob as an interviewer was on full display here, congrats to the whole team that keeps RHAP rolling. 🎉
Rob, you're always a great interviewer but let me just say, you killed this one! Questions so good that I think they impressed Jeff too. Perfect episode to have as 5000. Great Job!
Season 50: 39 days VS 26 days. Old school (and medium) VS New era. Any reason to have you back on Survivor. Or the amazing race. Or the traitors. Not ready to pitch Snake in the grass but for f sake, someone cast this baby boy!!!
This is incredible. What a way to capture the energy of your 5,000th episode. A great interview, an emotional risk, and a conversation that commemorates how far both Survivor and RHAP have come. Congratulations!
Congrats!!! I am a huge fan of RHAP and I couldn't be happier to see your success!! To see your podcast referenced by the media, recent interviews with Boston Rob and Jeff Probst! And just all the big brother and survivor players showing their support by being on the show is fantastic! I just really love the community you have built! And i love the talent you have on your team and i love your insight, humor and kindness you display! This podcast has really improved my experiences watching big brother and survivor.. like you said in this interview. It used to be you watch the episode and its over. And now it is so much more. You have done so much for reality tv!
What a treat tonight! I know there is always fan rumbeling around Jeff, but he is undoubtadly the best TV host of all time. I am so happy you got this interview. Great questions
Congratulations Rob and the whole RHAP team! Your hustle doesn’t go unnoticed and I’m so glad to have all this content and this community thanks to you 😌
Congratulations Rob on doing 5K podcasts! Thanks for sharing this engaging conversation between Rob and Jeff with the Survivor community. What a joy it is to listen to these two talk about the fascinating and entertaining ride that is Survivor. My household is looking forward to watching ep 1 of the new season this Wednesday, a new season of On Fire, and all the RHAP podcasts for the new season. Appreciate both of you Rob and Jeff!
Great interview Rob! Jeff Probst is a class act, he truly does love the show and he does it all for the fans. It’s so apparent in this interview that Jeff’s goal is to make a fun and exciting television show for us, and he really has done that.
I’m just beaming for you, Rob! Congratulations on 5000 shows! I love being a part of this community that you’ve created and nurtured. You “get” us! You are the best!
As much as I disagree with where Survivor is going and miss many elements of old Survivor, it is great to see how much Jeff cares for the show. Great interview Rob and congrats on 5000 eps of RHAP.
Jeff is such a great host. You can see the excitement in his eyes. That’s not something you can fake. Rob is also a phenomenal host. I’m not a regular listener, but appreciate an episode every now and then. What a great interview.
I am so incredibly proud of you for this interview Rob and hitting a historic 5,000 episodes! RHAP and the reality TV community you’ve introduced me to has been one of the greatest joys of my life and I’m so thankful for everything you do.
I have my issues with the modern era, but it’s refreshing to hear how self-aware Jeff is. Makes it sort of easier knowing that it’s conscious decisions that are being made with the best intentions.
I have always loved Jeff. He’s a fan and a host all wrapped up in one person. He’s a huge part of the game. Thanks for this interview. BTW… he’s got those cute dimples 😊
Congrats Rob on 5000 podcasts! It's such an incredible accomplishment, and I truly appreciate all the hard work that goes into these. The quality and thoughtfulness are always there, and the Survivor/reality TV community is so lucky to have you at the helm of the analysis.
I absolutely loved this episode. Thank you for getting Jeff on the show. I wish the survivor fan community wasn't always so negative. We are so quick to criticize Jeff and production for this twist or that. The fact that Jeff has "stress dreams" about survivor just shows how much he cares about the success of the show. It shows in every interview he does. When you see him during challenges and tribal council his enthusiasm always comes through. Love his ideas or hate them, we can't deny that Jeff loves the show, is committed to its success and always has the best of intentions.
Congrats on 5000 episodes! A great interview. Thank you, Rob, for giving Jeff the space to respond thoughtfully. Thank you, Jeff, for joining Rob & for sharing your Survivor thoughts.
Happy 5k Rob! I've been listening to RHAP for around a decade now, and it is just incredible to watch how multifaceted and creative the network has become. Thank you to you and the great RHAP family for making such quality content over the years. Someday soon I hope to be able to come to a live event and put a live face to the voices through all hours and hours of listening.
Such a great interview. It occurs to me that Survivor has gone from “What will people be willing to do for a million dollars?” to an experience that is more meaningful than the million dollars. I have watched every episode and absolutely love seeing the evolution. 💜
Rob, this interview was an absolute treat. You did great with the interview, I could tell you were poised with every question that you asked. It was great to hear Jeff answer questions with a vigor and spirit. I'm on cloud 9 with this interview... smiles the whole time. Thank you Rob! *raises glass* Here's to another great 5000!
Amazing interview I had so much fun watching it, super big land getting Jeff on the pod big ups to you guys, and I hope this podcast can go another 5k episodes!!
This made me weirdly emotional. Congrats Rob on 5,000 episodes and landing Jeff for what was truly a great interview. You got Jeff to talk about almost every major critique of the modern show without pointing the finger at him. And his answers all were great and made sense. I hope to contribute to see Jeff adapt and I would like to see his edge come back; like being harder on quitters! This has me very excited for the future of the show
Rob, I sincerely hope you are proud of yourself for everything you have accomplished so far! RHAP is amazing and I can testify that it brings so much joy to our everyday lives. Thank you for everything you put into it.
Congratulations on everything Rob, like many others I found the show during the pandemic and did my initial binge of the show in tandem with the top 40 countdown. My love of this game and my love of this show is inextricably linked to the work you do here as your voice has been with me every step of the way 🤙🤙🤙
Congratulations RHAP on 5000 episodes! Great interview and so much fun! I love talking about the evolution of this amazing game that we all love so much! Agree with many others that if you’ll keep making episodes, I’ll keep listening! 🎉❤
Love it !! Amazing interview !!! thank you so much !!! Congrats to the 5000th episode which is an incredible achievement !! I started watching Survivors from Season1 in 2000 before I moved to US. I learn how to deal with Americans from this show and now I become American.
5000 episodes, what an incredible milestone. Rob it's been a treat seeing your evolution over the years, I can't think of a more prolific content creator and somehow your passion never seems diluted. I love that you included the context of prior history with Jeff, which in light of his comments in this interview leads me to believe his prior reaction to you was heavily colored by some criticisms you had at the time that he must have taken quite personally. It's great to see the respect he has for you has grown as he's become more familiar with the podcasting side of things and also learned to detach from criticisms and take them both with a grain of salt but also as a suggestion for the product rather than an indictment of his ideas and his intent. Top notch everything, you guys are the best!
