I see some people commented how fast he cornered.I was amazed how fast he accelerated from corner to corner. It was like everyone else was on 80cc.The man is fast.fastest I've seen.
I think the reason that herlings is faster is because of his cornering speed, he’s usually on the gas before he reaches half way through. Also how he doesn’t care about his body and just puts it all on the line. No self preservation, his lack of fear allows him to go faster than the competition.
Blake Meeuwsen #Ra madla sounds like your never ridden a sandtrack its the hardest and most technical tracktype u ever can ride. its 99% of the us tracks that are just pull the trottle and hang on, like motogp tracks with some Hills and jumps for the crowd. thats why americans dont win in Europe - the tracks are to rough and tech and most of them are not used to it and most gp riders have been riding this stuff all their lifes. tomacs last 3 races are perfect examples of how far behind the fastest in the nationals is compared to the mxgp guys when IT comes to rough conditions or technical tracks, He is a prime example of a (fearless) pull and hang on racer and his and fitness level is what keeps him on the podium :).
Your mom is easy, couch warrior. Every motocross rider knows sand is hardest. Fat fanboy trying to make a statement. But fatty has no vids on his channel. Dont even pretend you ride a dirtbike, you are on level totally shit
only just got back into motox after a years of not being fussed about bikes since having kids....WHO IS THIS DUDE? I like his style he is WILD! fun to watch a ripper like this! God help me the bug is back ;)
Herlings was hauling ass no doubt and he's a badass. Dungey hadn't raced in a long time, first race since injury, flew across the ocean, raced an indoor track was steange that had sand all the way around it, and Herlings was the only one faster that day. That tells you what a badass Dungey is too. I actually like watching them on a track like that where they're not in the air all the time and they can just haul ass. I'd like to see more of that in our supercross series. less technical. just turns, jumps, and small rolling whoops. RV or Tomac would be fast on that track for sure. The way Herlings rails corners and keeps the throttle pinned is awesome to watch.
Big Herlings fan, and it was such a shame Dungey retired early. It would have been a show to see him race Herlings. Not for the typical Supercross fans to brag about who has the best riders, but for an epic showdown. I don’t watch SX since its not brodcasted in where i live, but i’ve seen clips on youtube, and Dungey is a monster. I do believe that maybe Herlings is a tad better than Dungey (may be a biased opinion too) but i have big respect for Dungey and his achievements. But i could also understand his retirement, perhaps he wanted to end on a high rather than quitting past his prime getting below-par results and hurting himself. Imo, Tomac is a bit overrated. A lot of SX fans like to claim that he’s the fastest rider on the planet, but he really hasn’t proved himself in International level, and Dungey has spanked him quite a lot too back then
Its also a shame that social media has been flooded by delusional people. I can’t get past a Herlings post without some delusional American saying that he has nothing compared to SX riders (or calling him a pussy for not racing in US), or some delusional Dutch saying that SX riders have no talent. There always ends up to be a big argument about who has the better riders, rather than guys like us who appreciate the talent that both European MX riders and American SX riders possess. Typically i’d love to see Herlings ride in SX, or Dungey ride in MXGP, rather than shit on the other rider for no reason. Social media has really been ruined by delusional sports fanatics, its really hard to find people who appreciate the talent of their idol’s rivals and its very annoying to see
@@enzoandrade219 faster on a single qualifying lap with no one else on the track is one thing. Faster on the track with other riders for multiple laps in a race is another thing. Race results are all that matter.
Incredible to see a MXGP Beast, against the SXAMA beast... that is an incredible fight... I think MXGP riders are used to the high speed, whereas, the AMA riders are used to more technical riding. But incredible to see the two different concepts that really let us all with dropped jaw!
Would love to see Herlings on an actual supercross track, against supercross champs, especially when they don’t go off the track and stall their bikes. This was more like an intermediate track at best. Looked like Herlings was definitely gonna catch him regardless based on the time it took him to close the gap, but catching and passing are different things. Herlings will be the first to admit his supercross skills aren’t on par with the best, but damn I’d love to see him commit to an AMA Supercross season. Guy is one of the two fastest guys in the planet outdoors right now.
He is the fastes Guy in the World on MX Track. I would also like to see him Ride SX against Tomac and the Other Guys. With a little Bit SX practice i think hes also faster in sx
Herlings and Tomac head to head on 450s would be fun to watch. They both have good size and strength. Both keep the throttle pinned. Overall though, I have to say Ken Roczen is the best rider in the world. Indoors and out. When he's on nobody can beat him. On a sand track Tomac and Herlings can do it maybe, but on anything else Roczen is unbeatable.
Richard does it matter yeah that would be nice. Any outdoor ama track for that matter, but he would definitely be a nightmare at Southwick. I had heard he was going to race the monster cup, but obviously not. He should. As fast and open as it is he'd be a player. It also pays a lot. I don't know why he doesn't race monster cup or the French supercross races like so many of the other GP guys do. I'd like to see that. yes the Americans always have advantages on tight, technical tracks but it would still be cool as hell just to see how he could do regardless of where he placed. Febvre did it. didn't do too well, but everybody knows it's because of lack of sx experience. still cool to see though and he still has the skill to ride it pretty decent. Herlings should race the monster cup if nothing else because he'd be a contender and it would add fireworks.
Scandle68 just watched the anaheim races and oh boy Roczen was on fire ... for a moment it looked like Tomac was hot too , but faded and dropped big time .. weird as he stated he was fitter as ever before , maybe too tense and tight for a first race ?? Musquin and Dungey looking good too , if Roczen can keep this momentum and good starts the rest is in trouble ..he looks good on that Honda , no need for first race on other bike excuses :-)
Richard does it matter yeah that surprised me too the way Tomac faded. I guess he just THOUGHT he was more fit than ever. sometimes it takes a full on race for riders to realize they aren't fit enough or fast enough even if they thought they were. I've become a Jason Anderson fan since mxon. His effort against Herlings and how he stepped up impressed me. Herlings was a tick faster but Anderson stayed smooth and Herlings made a mistake. that was epic. nobody was as fast as Herlings that day but at least anderson made it a dog fight when nobody else could. I've liked him since. With decent starts he will do well. musqin looked good. Dungey looked good. Tomac did as far as speed. Roczen is just a beast. his outdoor domination and indoor domination lately is incredible. I'm not a Roczen fan but I would bet he's gonna get that title this year no doubt if he doesn't get injured. Dungey is my next bet. Webb did ok for a young rookie. You'll see him creep up to the front before the season ends as he adapts. would be cool to have Gasjer in the mix, but mxgp needs every fast guy they can to try and give Herlings a fight. Febvre and Gasjer will give Herlings fits, but I don't think anybody is gonna stop that dude.
Scandle68 my bet is still on Dungey for the SX title , the diesel is always up there but if Roczen doesnt make mistakes he can beat him ... dont see any other contenders for the title , but its only 1 race .Who knows the next race Tomac is smoking them all :-) Webb needs some time , same as Musquin last year and with a few more races he will be in top 5 i think . Cant wait for the MXGP to start this year , as Herlings finally made the move to 450 and is looking good and fast .. has changed his style a bit and looks smoother on that big bike ...he is my favorite to win the title , if it happens its going to be 3 rookies who won the title the last 3 years , all MX2 riders moving up .Remember people were telling us the MX2 class was so weak the last few years as Herlings won it easy ...Gajser won only 5 GP's in his MX2 career and febvre only 1 ...
all guys he beat before at MXON ... he beat all your top riders in MXON , he ven lapped some ..LOL in MX Herlings is absolute top who can win any race against all of them , as he proved time after time
Fredde, I have ridden a lot of sand! been racing for over 40 years, and designing and building tracks for about half that time. Raced in all conditions! Was around before there was supercross LOL. the type of track I'm referring to in the comment is the layout not the dirt. If you look closely the jumps are speed and if you over jump there is nothing to throw you out of rhythm. that been said, this type of track is best suited for that type of riding. Fredde, Sand is technical due to the fact that the track is always changing even from lap to lap, as well as to braking point, and acceleration points change as opposed to black, or clay soils. Not only that but if you are racing 2 or 4 stoke! indoor or outdoor, and many other factors which will take to long to discuss. Point is everybody has a opinion, on what it takes to go fast but when it comes down to it only a select few can really go this fast in all conditions, these guy at this level are Bad Asses, I don't think any of us ever or will ever be a this level of racing. And if you are sorry and good luck in your career.
@@NoobWithEpix no te lo crees ni tu! Herlings le pasa a tomac por encima 100 veces y mas en arena... Herlings desayuna arena, come arena y cena arena a diario...
That guy commenting had the most blown speakers in the history of blown up speakers, or he stod behind the starting gate and got both the mic and speakers roasted in a sandstorm by 450's on the move.
Looked like a bunch of amateurs he's racing with😆🤪 Guess it's one of the deciding factor for RD5 retirement. 😁Even the current US-rider champion ET3 couldn't deny the fact that JH84 is FAST!!!!!
@@nathancrittenden8525 That's not true. We have Supercross and they are always packed and they race three days in a row in one city. Though those are arenas and not stadiums. So I think something went wrong with the organization and advertisement.
maybe you're confused: you wrote "gajser is the man", not Roczen... Roczen won 2 motos in his rookie season, was second the second year (61 points behind Musquin), and world champion on the third year; Herlings won 1 grandprix and two more motos in his rookie season, was second the second year (only 19 points behind Roczen: is this what you call getting your ass kicked?), and world champion on the third year; Gajser on the other hand didn't even have a single podium finish in his first two years, scored his first moto win in his fourth season, and clearly won the MX2 championhip only thanks to Herlings injury. Of course this doesn't mean he's not a great rider, but I believe that Herlings is on a different level (together with Roczen)
example of what? I said that Herlings has been consistently faster than Gajser (fact) and that I believe he will be faster than him in the future too. what has this got to do with another rider, that didn't even take part in this event? (in any case I stress that Herlings and Roczen raced against each other only for two seasons: in 2009 the dutch was still a rookie, and in 2010 he was very close to the title, so I believe that overall they were, and are, at the same level.
Look I get it, Herlings is crazy fast (currently fastest mx rider) and has amazing technique, but if you think this is anything like ama sx you’re sadly mistaken. Herlings would piss himself standing at the bottom of an ungodly peaked triple in American sx. This track is a tight indoor mx track at best and suited specifically for euro technique and style. There’s a reason none of the fastest euro riders stayed for monster energy cup after the mxon...they’d kill themselves trying to keep up with our top sx riders!
Roczen and musquin and Reed prior to that even Townely All Euros (and an Aussie and a NZer ). All won AMA SX and are not Americans. All ex GP riders who came to USA, learnt to ride SX and won. Herlings would no doubt do the same.
Was never a fan of mxgp. Ama has Always been better to me and they have supercross unlike mxgp. They Also race more offen than mxgp riders so thats makes it a lot harder. And they have to adapt to both motorcross and supercross
Tha Cole ama races is more offen than mxgp.and they do both supercross and motorcross. Its harder for the riders. Just ask villopotto he even said it was like vacation to race at mxgp campared to ama.
Und deshalb war Villo in zehn Jahren Nationals nur bei drei Rennen NICHT auf dem Podium, und brauchte in der WM grad mal vier GP um's dreimal zu verpassen. Wirklich, echter Ferienjob diese GPs...
I like them riders all. But if anybody would told me that Ktm order Herlings in first place and Dungey or Musquin in 2thplace beacause its a european race, and their had to win a european Rider.. I think I would believe
Everyone acting like he "just ate ryan up" but in reality Ryans mistake is what handed Jeff the win. Make no mistake Ryan wouldnt have handed Jeff the win by way or passing. they would have battled.
I think Herlings could master supercross if he really wanted to. His corner speed is unreal, but let's face it, be would never ever race supercross. You can't blame him though, sx is ruining the sport.
that's not the only reason... Herlings was way faster than Dungey before that pass (when he easily caught up on him) and after the pass (when he was able to put distance between him and Dungey); not to mention that for Herlings this was the only the second race riding a 450....
What the hell, did they make this sand track for this guy or what!!!! Let's see him try some other tracks maby an East coast track? Did they just go get all the beach sand they could dump in there or what!!?
Don't know if you noticed but Herlings finished almost a whole lap earlier then Dungey, so even if he didn't made that mistake. Herlings still would have won this. His cornering is just on point and he goes full throttle on the straights. No doubt the best man of the race
