This is one of the Best video's of explanation of God Yahweh ( YHVH) ever explained and of The son of God Yahushua Jesus Christ our Lord who's name Mean God Jah is Salvation. I now understand that Jesus Christ is the personality of God the father a physical embodiment of God in human form. Most Churches are not preaching the word of God, there's a lot of false Shepherd's herding Gods Flock. I say Read and study the word of God so you can understand "Truth" and guard against wolves when you do go to worship services.

Thanks for your testimony. I recently started having an encounter with JW's, I started meeting up with them on Zoom meetings during the Covid lockdown and I couldn't find anything wrong from what they said and how they worshipped and conveyed the message. Then some time later they handed me a booklet from which we started doing studies from it, some things triggered me in the back of my mind when I talked about the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, the God trinity and that they are three persons in one which they seemed to shy away from and said that we will eventually get to that later in the booklet. Also the fact that they insist on calling God, Jehova bothered me, for no where in the Bible is the name Jehova even mentioned, so I did a bit of research as to where they get the name Jehova from until I realized it's from the four letter word or acronym JHWH, but since I've already began my own Bible studies and followed a few online Pastors for nearly two years before the time already, I knew that the letter "J" didn't exist in ancient Hebrew, the closest to that would be the letter "Y" which existed in ancient Hebrew, so this already questioned the name Jehova, besides this and also because they shy'd away from the God trinity was enough for me to begin researching the history and authenticity of the JW's where I then found out the truth about them and was shocked and disappointed, even disgusted in them whence I heard what they think about Jesus Christ (Yeshua in Hebrew), that they make Him out to be Michael the archangel, that they don't believe in a cross, but in a stake, just a wooden stake on which He was crucified and so many more things which I rebuked. My heart sunk thinking why would God allow me to be involved with this false belief when He knew I was searching Him already for some time through other means just to fall into this trap, called JW's... Then I realized, maybe God put me through this so that I can try to save a few from JW's, but how can I when I'm still not saved myself, I haven't been baptised yet, I've repented yes, but still not saved and there's nothing I can do to be saved unless by the Grace of God. I'm still in contact with these JW's, they don't know what I now know about them and although I don't want to participate in any further studies with them, I'm not sure if I should try and stay as a hidden agent for God and continue the journey with them and try to convert some of them over time back to the real truth in who and what Jesus really is, but how can I do this, is this even possible. I need help and advise!

A simple illustration of what "name" means in the sense of who someone is, his reputation, etc, as opposed to the letters of his name, is to ask a Witness what do people mean when they speak of dragging someone's name through the mud? are you dragging the literal letters of their name through mud, or destroying/defaming their reputation?

Dawn, I always appreciate learning from your research. Would you, however, do a video addressing what the name of the Most High REALLY is? From my research the Jewish Mazzarites injected the name "Jehovah" into scripture LONG before He (the Most High) declared what His name is to Moses, and that the name "Jehovah" is a name synonomous with Ba'al and the worship thereof, which is why the nation of Israel were punished. I've faded from the organization but will not stop seeking a relationship with the True God. I just need help working through this HUGE issue. It's got me immobilized.

I also crossed examined the scriptures in the NWT and I've discovered we should be called Christians and be witnesses for Jesus Christ. It pointed to the scripture John 17:3. You're right!

Jehovah is just the translated English name for god...in other countries is different like for example in the Philippines we pronounce it HeHoVa for jehova. Now some will argue that there isn’t any letter “J” in Hebrew back in the days so then why use the name Jesus, Joshua, Jeremiah...etc.

I agree with Kym Bee, this is such a good explanation of God's name and also why it is so important for us to follow the teachings of Jesus and his disciples. I always feel for the JW who are genuinely thinking they are in God's organisation even though they can see the hypocrisy and the falsehood. It took me eighteen months to get my life back once I left, and now I really know the meaning of these words " The Truth Will Set You Free". I pray everyday for all those who are locked in any cult to one day be set free and find the real truth.

The most important reason uttering YHWH was no longer necessary can be identified by reading the words of Jesus. How did Jesus instruct the disciples to refer to God? Jesus repeatedly instructed his followers to address God as our Lord or our Heavenly Father (Mt 6:8-18, 7:21, Mk 14:36) and this is the way Jesus followers refer to God if they wish to follow Jesus example. In the Lord's Prayer Jesus said to pray "Our Father in the heavens". Jesus said he glorified the Father's name. By indicating that Jesus was glorifying the literal name Jehovah emphasis is taken away from what Jesus truthfully glorified. Even in the New World Translation there is no scripture with the statement that Jesus glorified God's name 'Jehovah'? Jesus continually referred to God as Father, even when talking about his name. Not once did he use the term "Your Name Jehovah". Notice Jesus following statements: John 12:27-28 "Now my soul is troubled, and what shall I say? Father, save me out of this hour. This is very well explained. I was an elder for 40 years, PO for 32 yrs, CO for 9 years. Left Jw over the child molestation problems. I have no idea now who Jehovah is. The aid to bible understanding that brother Franz was involved in putting together and was kicked out for his views makes the name Jehovah very discoloured because of its origin. I am a non believer now. So while I draw breath my one aim is to help anyone who needs help by charitable actions and works.

Wrong Christology in NWT john 1: 1 = Jesus was the 1st created and had a beginning ,so which one was the first created being = Time or Jesus? Hello, i must tell; after more than 10 years, I still can't wrap my head around Jesus being dead and 'buried' for Three Days and Three nights (the sign of Jonah as spoken of by Jesus). If he was dead and buried on Friday hours from Shabbath and rose again Before they came on Sunday morning, that is virtually impossible. Even my old pastor at our seminar, told us the evidence for him NOT being down there for 3 Days and 3 nights was heavily eminent since Jesus and the jews followed Shabbath by he very letter...

I am one of Jehovah's Witnesses. I did watch the entire video as you suggested. I would like to point out a few things you may have failed to consider. To begin with, I have never been taught that our name proves anything. Every Witness I have encountered teaches that we prove we are God's people by doing His will. You are right in pointing out that neither the Jews nor the first century Christians bore our name, but that's because it wasn't necessary before. Israel as a nation was distinct so that everyone observing it knew what true worship looked like. This was also true of the first century Christians, but now the name Christian has been applied to false doctrines and pagan rites. People using the name say God causes suffering, tortures people for eternity, and is okay with worship that has roots in paganism. And at that point, God inspired a new name to differentiate actual worship from all that other stuff. Jesus did ask us to be witnesses of him. Why? Because he is our only hope of returning to Jehovah. Without Jesus, Adam's sin could never be repaid. So we are to be witnesses of that ransom sacrifice, the amazing thing Jesus did for us. In sum, our witness, not the name proves we are God's people and I honestly have never heard Witnesses say otherwise. I do want to thank you for your efforts to discover what is true. It's an important pursuit I wish more people would take up.

I believe this name to be scriptural, and that the Jehovah's Witnesses don't want to avoid its use, as have happened on a broad scale. And that many want to live with Bibles principles. I asked an elder about Everyman will see Jesus Coming from the clouds. The elder said it’s not possible cause man cannot see through a cloud. CN you use thAt as a question this is where faith comes in. Acts 11: 26 "This divine providence " wording is not found in any translations so i assume its NWT. I think that the world are in the great confusions already. The important thing is the faith and the works, serving for God's will. And we, the majority of the world believe the Bible as God's words. Thank you for your belief! So those who chose to be Jehovah's Witnesses have their beliefs. Now, as true servant of God, we are to tell the people about what the Bible says. That is to bring people together because of God's love and be ready ourselves for His time of making or establishing His main purpose on this earth. I think 3/4 of people of the earth are not really observing what the Bible, God's words saying. Those that have a problem with the Creator being named Jehovah, or Yahwey, both unique titles, that distinguish him from Lord , as there are thousands of Lords, mostly in one of the houses of Parliament. So not to be confused with such lesser mortals there are scriptures that indicate that he has the name Jehovah. One such is found at Exodus 6v3, which says, "But by my name Jehovah, I was not known to them". But here I just want to focus on our name and on your basic argument which is, in a nutshell: “Jehovah’s Witnesses claim that their name proves their identity as God’s people”. You then explain that “Jehovah’s Witnesses isn’t the correct designation for a group claiming to be Christian, because Christ said ‘Hou will be Witnesses of ME’ not of Jehovah”. Firstly, as far as I’m aware, we don’t suggest that the proof is ‘in the name’. Secondly, i presume your denomination is not called Jesus’ Witnesses? Perhaps you go to a baptist church, or are “pentecostal”. Are all these names wrong? Jehovah’s Witnesses identifies who we are, just as Episcopalian, Lutheran, Catholic, Baptist etc identify other denominations. But we are Christians. We are followers of Christ. A follower of Jesus does what Jesus did, following the example set by him. Jesus witnessed about his father. The difference between those times and ours is that the Jews already worshipped Jehovah, and it was important that they knew that the only way to be acceptable to Him was through Jesus. In our day, the teaching of the trinity has confused the identy of Jehovah and so, we witness about Jesus, whilst highlighting that his Father must be understood correctly. We are following Jesus

Our English language and spelling etc. was not even standardized at that time. This doesn't even take into account that the Jews themselves , hid ( Niqqud ) FATHER'S name 6848 times ( YHWH ) replacing it with titles such titles as Adonai, Elohim etc. Our translators mistakenly read the vowel points as they sounded not realizing that was only for the reader to pronounce Adonai, Elohim and not say Father's TRUE NAME YAHWEH יהוה. God, Lord, Jehovah, etc was used in the AKJV mistakenly. Father's WORD says a promise to preserve his WORDS not Hebrew given names in an English Bible... Psalms 12:6-7. In Ancient Hebrew all those given names in scripture are preserved. I seek FATHER YAH ! and use his name. I want to speak and call HIS name, the name HE says in his WORD is above ALL names. I want to call on my Saviour by HIS name, not an incorrect one. Psalms 68:4 that's YAH in Hebrew and the letter J did not exist in English until about 500 yrs ago and never has in Hebrew or Greek and NOT in the 1611 AKJV. David knew who he was praising. God kept his name a secret for a very good reason. There is an unforgivable sin which God will not forgive, and that sin is taking the name of God in vain. Acts 11:26 can't tel that the Jews at that time where called Cristianos/Christians, cos Jews at that time, they spoke in Aramaic. And "Cristianos" is a Greek word. "Christ"/"Cristos" in Aramaic or Hebrew is "Messiah"(Aramaic and Hebrew: meshiḥa, mashiach, hamashiach) si most likely they where called Messianics. It's a historical fact that in the first century there where more than one Messianic movements(Messianic Age) (The writings if Josphus Flavius/Yosef ben Matityahu). It is only the Greek writings that say that they where called Christians, from those writings not from the mouths of those people.
