Strange that I stopped heavily drinking when I got out of this cult. I even didn't really recognize that I drink 98% lesser because I don't even missed it since the whole 3 years. All that cult does was to kill my curiosity and destroyed my own personality that was already perfect before and turned it in to an a....le. It was the best thing to get it back again. Man blew this whole organisation.

Lloyd I just wanted you to know in spite of everything that's going on in regards to your legal issues in your personal life I am very sorry for that happening to you. But I want you to know that all that you did for the last 6 years for me helped me understand what was happening to me in that organization and why I have the mental problems and issues that I currently am dealing with. And I don't have the words to express to you what your work meant to me it was everything for me to get started and healing from this horrible cult that professes to love God and barely even mentions Jesus anymore LOL! I just want you to know that your activism work meant a lot and it's saved a lot of us out here I know that it saved my life. And I wish more people would appreciate the work that you did rather than the mental anguish that you're going through right now and using it against you. My heart breaks for you and your family and hopefully one day things will work themselves out and you will find happiness and fulfillment in your life once again without having to battle all these egregious lies that people are telling about you. I've been a supporter of you from the very first video I've watched and I have continued to be a supporter to you I can't afford to be a patreon but I can afford to let you know that there is somebody out there that cares very deeply about you and what you did for me. And thank you so much for making me realize what a horrible organization that I happened to be born into and was able to escape because of you. I've never been a Jehovahs Witness and I literally never drink. I went through a party phase and now I just don't like the way alcohol makes me feel. So it's BS to think you need this religion to not drink.

Never was a JW, just interested in the cult mindset, and such, I love how they made the beginning scene, with the drinking where they were slovenly, spilling drink from their mouths when they took the bottle out, and how dirty they made them look, and the overacting in that part was just hilarious. The propaganda game is strong with them,

I wish people who could sign would volunteer at nursing homes and disability sectors just to interact. I bet if they can’t use them to door knock they won’t waste their time. Really lonely for the deaf community that are house bound and elderly.

Hearing people of all kinds are perfectly capable of paying to learn our language. Go to Gallaudet University and learn online through a class. There is no reason American Sign Language isn’t mandatory like American English in schools for all. That is how you end seeing someone in a nursing home being alone. Learn it.

They used an actor to portrait him, then at end shows the real person. The actor is skilled at ASL. The actual man is not good at ASL at all.

I think what is real in the story is the Deaf young man was lonely and had no job opportunities due to hearing oppression and not education at all. He wanted friends, to fit in! Whether it was with others teaching him to party (inclusion) or JW in front of a camera and group preaching to them (power and dignity), he was finally happy …genuinely happy… because he was getting attention, inclusion, treated as if his life has value, having a job like every man wants, he was a whole human now. If every nation would address AGBell’s eugenics audism in their society and their laws, we would have less Deaf becoming victims of cults and oppression.

This young deaf JW was influenced by his non-Witness peers to drink large amounts of alcohol, then he meets some JWs who are evangelizing in his area to deaf residents. They teach him how to read and write, yet this likely came with string attached -- the Witnesses who came by his home most likely hoped he would convert to their specific denomination of Christianity. He insists that when becoming a Bible student of the Witnesses he learned about "what Jehovah likes and what he disapproves of". It's more that you were learning the JWs' interpretation of what they believe God likes and what they believe God disapproves of. In the JWs, you can drink alcohol in moderation, but some fundamentalist non-JW Christians that adhere to a literal interpretation of the Bible who sincerely believe that drinking any amount of alcohol is "inherently sinful and displeasing to God". Which one of you is correct when you both insist that your own respective interpretations of the Bible are "true", and that the other's interpretation is "wrong"?

In the UK at least , the JW make big errors with the Deaf-altering signs to fit into their dogmas being one-Deaf people have always found that offensive-hearing people trying to control their language (obvious deviations-not using the cross when speaking of Christians as JW's have this absurd anti historical anti biblical belief Jesus died on a stake) and the Deaf community have always enjoyed social activities and contact which is frowned on when the Deaf aren't JW. The lack of genuine friendship or closeness (especially Male and Female!) isn't understood and feels like rejection/that they are being used to learn sign language which isn't good for future relations. Most Deaf have a rudimentary main stream understanding of the Bible (and other religions) which JW do not share. Their battle is extremely up hill and has little chance of success.

That is likely due to the French monk Abbe’ Sicard and his LSF and first Deaf school, the Irish nuns who brought his book of signs to teach Deaf in Ireland, and the Abbe’ meeting with Protestant US pastor Rev. Thomas Hopkins Gallaudet who brought LSF to America. Christians (not cults) gave ability to read, write and sign to Deaf people worldwide (look up Rev. Andrew Foster and Africa). So therefore through the mid 1900s most Deaf had some ideas shared to them about the Bible.

Coming from being raised in an asl congregation and having the “privilege” (lol) to be an MS for 3 years the only reason we teach people how to read and write and sign is to just convert them. At first I thought we were doing a good thing but we were just doing it to get our time. I had a study with someone that has cerebral palsy and I would teach him sign language but only to fill his mind with the propaganda. I’m so glad I left that religion I’m coming on 3 weeks of my fade lol 😂 so it’s all still fresh.

The org maybe tapping into the def community, but a career Pioneer, to the ignoring her 3 teen age boys. She was tapping into that community back in the early 70's she had Bible studies with a big group and would sign for them at the meetings. By the way those teenage boys got into all kinds of trouble. She couldn't count time watching her boys and keep them out of Trouble.

Also…FYI…the voice interpreter lied to you. What the Deaf man signed was VERY VERY simplistic sign language. I know ASL, and he didn’t say all that was voiced, the hearing speaker was adding to it, elaborating “with all my heart” at end…he didn’t sign that at all.

I have 2 stories about how JWs have come after our Deaf Community in the US. One in my hometown, and one at my campus, Gallaudet University. If you want to know what they did, scary at our Deaf campus, let me know. Edit: 3 stories, i forgot about the kindergartner.

The biggest trope in the vid also seems to be that he is only shown starting to sign (with his name btw as if he were to start speaking a new language) when he meets JWs. Before he is only portrayed as acting and reacting - basically the JW's version of "lifting him out of his animalistic state by converting him and teaching him to speak". It says in the video that he "only learned to read and write" apparently, but the message of the pictures goes even deeper. Very disrespectful in a way in portraying everyone not JW less than human.
