I decided to attend the Circuit Assembly 2 weeks ago and when they were about to read the accounts report, I whispered to my daughter's ear that it will be a deficit of $10,000, and sure enough it was $8,000. This video immediately came to mind even though I saw it years ago.

When I was a member of the JW organisation, i was the accounts servant for the local congregation. A few things happened where money was taken out of the contribution boxes after the receipt had been written for the amount of money collected. This would show as a deficit in the cash amount. So, while counting the money, it showed less than what the receipts showed, so when I did the accounts ledger, I showed this in red ink. When the ledger was audited, the elders doing the audit went ballistic because I'd done this in the ledger. I tried to explain to them what had been done by an elder who took money from the contribution box was wrong and if money was required for the purchase of something for the Kingdom hall he should come to me as the accounts servant and get a cheque for the amount required. That elder said to me that he would do whatever he wanted, so that is why I put this anomaly in red ink. I handed the ledger over to the elders and told them to find someone else to do the accounts. A few months went by, and four of the severn elders had their positions taken from them. These men thought they were untouchable but they were wrong.

Wow wow wow 😮 I'm an unbaptised interested party and when I heard that the congregation would be expected to send a fixed amount every month I thought "that's quite an amount" as in the public talk that week the brother happened to say there are just over 117,000 congregations worldwide 😮 This is the last straw for me. I can no longer be part of this organisation. I feel sad for all the genuine, kind-hearted JW's who are "blinded" by their faith😢

Do not get baptized by them. Their baptism process is completely unbiblical. You are made to stand in front of all and say "YES" to a verbal contract. You are not baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ as scripture says, but you are baptized into an organization and its laws. It is a verbal contract. Nowhere in scripture do we see people who want to be baptized have to go through a study process and then meet with three elders at three different times in order for them to decide if you know enough and then have to wait for a special event and be made to stand before all to say "Yes I understand my baptism today means I have become a member of the Watchtower organization". In scripture, as soon as people heard the actual good news about Jesus Christ and the kingdom of God, they were immediately baptized for the forgiveness of their sins and to become a new man/woman in Christ. Jesus is the way, not any religion/church

Nobody is supposed to tell you when you are ready for baptism. They turned my sister down twice and she still stayed and eventually she got the go ahead to get baptized. I had to become an elder myself to understand just how deceitful the society is with money and contributions. But it did help me to become fully awake and leave 20 years ago. A lot has changed on the surface of the organizations, but beneath it all it is still a solid pyramid scheme.

You must 'carry your own load' there are genuine people in this organisation...many of them struggling as they 'slave for God not riches' with no financial help.....in fact we were encouraged to turn to the Government for benefits to prop up low earnings. Right!? I used to go to a very old assembly hall in the ugliest part of CA where the land was dirt cheap and the hall had been built for well over 40 years. Even as a young teen, I wondered how no mortgage and volunteer labor managed to rack up such a deficit for just 2 days of use... Now I understand why. Thank you JT!

Thank you for that insight! I left 30 seconds before WT became what it is today. I don’t even recognize it and I’m grateful I can’t. In my day there was just a little contribution box nailed on the wall somewhere in the back. No one ever, ever asked you for money. In fact, asking for tithes was considered just was one of many marks of corrupt false religions. Goodness gracious!

Back in the 1960s they didnt ask for money, i remembe i left the cult but came back in 1984 and i was in shock they only talk about money ,always asking for money. I also remember we built a big and beautiful assembly hall, free labor paid for with money donated by us. We used it maybe for 3 years and then they sold it. They must have made a fortune. Not long after that we left for good,im very happy im a member of a baptist church. It took me a long time to look for god again but now it is clear this is a sect.

But yet supporting long term investments a multi million dollar world headquarters on 200 acres of privately owned land or at least owned & controlled by the corporate executives or Governing Body that live in a all bills paid for life studio condo overlooking their private lake with FREE lifetime Drycleaners on site. And free around the world paid trips to international Asymblys as celebrity's, paid meals of there choosing ect ect ect . Then upon enfermaty years of age a celebrity status paid nursing home FREE with grupy fan caretakers !!! That's where some of the donations go to at the top Governing Body level. My grandfather (non-JW) always wants to take the check back out. 🤣 Out of all seriousness though, I don't know if I could wake my grandmother up because if she could see how crooked this cult is, she'd feel very upset about all the money she wasted over the years.

Grab that cash with both hands and make a stash" I used to sit as a kid in the stands at big Assemblies and think about how cool it would be to attend a Rock concert here as opposed to being bored to tears and sweating out another summer assembly ( in Vancouver we had ours at the Pacific Coliseum which had air conditioning but the org was too cheap to pay the extra for it to be turned on so we sat and roasted. That likely wouldn't be allowed now but back in the day it was the reality.) Great video JT and love to hear the insight you have into the real truth!

There was always a deficit at the circuit assemblies. Every time. I’m talking all my childhood, preteen, teen and adult years until I left - from the early 80s (I was a kid) until 2011 when I attended my last circuit assembly there was always a deficit. And I do remember there being a different type of announcement at the district conventions - more like “we are handling the finances and everything is fine” type of message - I can’t recall exactly how they used to word it. But I always wondered why there was a deficit at circuit assemblies every time and why it was announced differently at district conventions. But of course no one dare question anything. And for sure a sister better not say anything. 🗣️ I am SO GLAD I woke up. These GB frauds need to be caught. Thanks for this oldie but goodie! This was one that confirmed SO MUCH for me!

Years ago, when I served in Jersey City, NJ, shortly after the Society introduced the "all literature is free" program. We had an elders meeting, I was literature servant. Presiding Overseer read us a letter from the Society. It basically stated 'you've ordered $3,500.00 worth of literature and thus far we have only received $1.000.00 in donations from you. You owe us $2,500.00.' I remember questioning the letter. "The literature is free how do we owe them anything?" During the Service Meeting, the P.O. read a separate letter attached to the one that they sent regarding the literature. It basically talked about all the branch offices and Kingdom Halls that were being built around the world. He then said 'We have decided to give a contribution of $2,500.00 to the Society." People clapped, I just stood there shaking my head. They got their money.

A pivotal point in my waking up journey was your original Why is there always a deficit. I had to listen to it sneakily on a car journey to the shops because my husband was still "in". I was shocked, maddened and humiliated that I had ever been taken in by this scam and even more determined to disassociate asap. I remember hearing at assemblies that we started with a surplus from the last assembly but towards the end we were told that we hadn't yet covered our expenses for the current assembly. Then attendees would be guilted into giving.

burns me how no one is allowed to do any community service such as my local towns like vol fire fighter or vol EMS As in ambulance servoce!! they can't even buy a chicken BBQ dinner to support such groups or partake on community yard sales due to sponsored by same!! YET they have it preached to by elders & even Watchtower to get any freebies coming down the pike!! like not voting or say working for pay at a polling center yet wen the checks came out...many gave to their hall !! yes!! they live in poverty and now the warchtower expecting certain amounts per person ..again as the dog other churches, especially Catholics ,for collection ...2 faced as thy do, always did same..and well worse by shunning communiy unless it beifits..like food pantry or free meal((unless in a church!! go without food!!)) so you can give more to WT warped just warped !!

I left 10 yrs ago and being raised in it what got me was the Society foots the bill to build KH and Assembly Halls (with free labor) and the congregation has to repay the loan. Loan sharking their own people.

They’re starting to ask for money in ways I’ve never seen before. There was a video put up in the JW app about a month ago talking about paying tides. Also, “set something aside” was the topic of one of the parts on the midweek meeting this past week. I can’t recall so much focus on money and making payments from my childhood. Aside from mentioning the congregation and assembly accounts, I’ve never seen so much random push to give.

My personal impression: Europe Branch will be closed. Why? Because of the very high energy costs. Gas and electricity is not safe in Europe. Germany has the highest costs on gas and electricity worldwide, even higher than Switzerland. Our Inflation rate is rising again and people just can't donate as they did before. Plus demographic issues. In 5 years, the decrease will be so visible for everybody.

I always remembered the "talk" on a deficit at the Henrietta Assembly Hall, in Rochester NY. After leaving this money making cult, I was curios as the annual income of this Assembly Hall. According to Dun and Bradstreet, the annual income revenues is 100,000 a year! With only one employee. Trees planted there came from my father's tree nursery, and my father waited over a month or more to be paid. It was a bad deal. Thanks for revealing this underhanded approach to get more money from their members. You have a new subscriber.

I went there thirty years ago. I've never thought about the ubiquitous deficit announcement before today lol. It also brought back a memory of volunteered overnight security at that place. Tbh if people knew they might not have cared because it was way better than going to Copps or Rochester war memorial or the NF convention center. Especially with that state of the art kitchen..... Until they to entirely shut it down, not to "simplify" I believe, but rather because of much stricter kitchen and inspection standards and they'd probably have to hire professionals to keep the operation going.

Yes, there is never a breakdown of the funds that Watchtower receives every month. No idea what it cost to run Bethel, or what amount is paid out to traveling overseers, how much actually is paid out for kingdom hall builds for supplies (especially with a country to country breakdown), how much goes out for literature that is donated (such as bibles), how much goes out to the world wide work, how much is being paid out to settle csa lawsuits, how much is going out to hire “worldly” attorneys for high level court cases ( such as is going on in Pennsylvania) so many expenditures never disclosed. Yet the sheep just trudge along and reach into their pockets when reminded. And yes they do still profess that they don’t have tithes and all funds are from donation only. So much wool being pulled over their eyes.

Well in our Assembly it was deficit because our circuit Overseer literally stole some part of it for his own expenses without the knowledge of all the publishers in the circuit

2020 we accommodated our CO & his wife in 5 days. They left in hurry in the last day. Hours later wen we check somethings were missing, we doubled checked the closet withmy wife but the box of perfumes was gone. They even went into some of our store boxes. We told the elders, they went to our house and said that its no joke bcz they seem not believe it.. After a day and a half we decided to call the CO regarding the ma tter, One elder then decided to call the CO, using his celpon I talked to the CO, at first he deny then for awhile he muted his phone then said they'll return early in the morning. They returned the items they took, a box of perfumes, couple of hangers and towel which they said that bcz they in a hurry they ddnt notice it. It's upto you to judge what kind of persons these are,. Holy Ss..😢😢😢😅😅😅 we check

The one thing that the Society fears the most is losing their tax exempt status. To lose that would mean that their books would be audited by the State. Then the “TRUTH” would really come out. This is an all cash business. Keep in mind that money never disappears. It merely changes hands.

At one of my last circuit assemblies at a assembly hall before waking up. They said the $10000 deficit was for "fixed asset replacement" such as if an AC unit goes out. This is for one curcuit for one day. I checked the local city rates where we use to hold the assemblies, it was around 1200 for a non profit.

The assembly hall in Yuba City CA was paid for as they built it because I man gifted the land + money in his will and we never started an assembly without being in the hole.
