I cannot believe how "Truly Outrageous" that movie was. and I say Truly Outrageous in that it was a movie that insulted fans of the original Jem and the Holograms
I kinda liked the movie. Of course it's stripped of anything we hold dear, but it was entertaining for me. What I don't understand is how people vote this song down. Just because they don't like the movie?
I really like the original jem and the holograms better than movie even tho I never was born in the year when this aired on tv. I’m glad my mom has the dvd of this show.
it was pulled from theaters for doing so badly and i think its pretty well-deserved. they didnt even try to make it like the tv show, it was just the name they took :/
@@StarliteJem i didn't watch it i saw a review nostalgic critic reviewed i laughed so hard he even spoofed the intros im a huge fan of this cartoon since i was 7 in 1991when usa cartoon express aired it they stopped airing it in 1992 i was 8 but i believe they aired one episode in 1993 when i was 9 i was so upset they remade my favorite cartoon why hasbro why this is like if hollywood rebooted mac and me and we all know that would be disturbing
@@StarliteJemthey kept only the names of the songs. If they couldn’t get the rights, they should’ve just made new songs. Why completely change a piece’s narrative and keep the name? Beat This, Glitter & Gold, Gimme Gimme- all of the song titles kept, but were completely different in theme. Where Beat This was a classic 80s audacious, “I challenge you” stadium rock hit, it became a self pitying Kruella inspired dance number (I like Kruella; Kruella is not Jem). I appreciate you for having these. These are some of the best songs ever, and shoutout to Britta Phillips for real.
Britta Phillips' voice is so magnetic. Can't put my finger on it, but it just so good. I didn't grow up with Jem and so I don't have the nostalgia attached to her voice, and yet I feel so happy and warm whenever I hear it.

I freaking loved this cartoon as a little girl. I was like 7 when this cartoon debuted. I had JEM EVERYTHING!!! THE SONGS WERE EXCELLENT! So, much I remember them ALL after 30 years!!! Now, I can share this with my daughter!!! We wach it everyday on Tubi. She watches me geek out on it..but she has come to love it too! #the80srock #totallyoutrageous
I am so thankful for the work you did on all of these Jem gems and for providing them to enjoy on RU-vid. It is wonderful to hear the songs the way they should be heard. You have done some awesome work on these songs I'm sure, and I know Jem fans everywhere are ecstatic to hear their favorite songs in high quality.
You're telling me! The movie is going to be horrible. I kind of want to see it just to make fun of it the whole time. Thankfully, this RU-vid channel Sienna d'enema makes these Jem trailer movie parodies which are crude but pretty hilarious.
It just made me think that compared to the music of the Misfits and the Stingers, the music for the Holograms was based on the early 80s (1970s disco-style crossover) sound that was made for artists like Irene Cara and the Pointer Sisters and Sheena Easton.

I watched the trailer and its like they spit on the cartoon and kicked it in the balls. That movie is gonna be horrible. I can't believe they think its gonna make money. It has almost nothing to do with the source material......very sad Hollywood you could've had a really fun 80's time period movie.

In 1-minute long nuggets, this show's music has more talent and heart felt tunes than all the robotic, one-size-fits-all crap we're flooded with today.
