The brigadier was always for me a man you could all trust. He felt like that stable secure rock, when everything else in Doctor Who was mayhem, his stoic attitude helped so much. So glad the brigadier's photo is on the desk. I remember there was a portrait of him on the plane in Death in Heaven with 12 saying "I see you are bringing daddy along too. That's very sweet"

A very happy birthday to Millie Gibson, I love her portrayal of Ruby and I can't wait to see where the character goes !

Jemma Redgrave is such a treasure. An utterly lovely person and so very talented. She plays Kate so so well, a truly worthy successor to the late, great Nicholas Courtney. I hope she continues to play this character for many years to come.

The set is so lived in, it's amazing how detailed it is. We've come a LONG way from how UNIT used to be.

Kate is such a great character: leads from the front and assumes, quite rightly, that all her staff will give 100% because she does. Gemma clearly inhabits that character and loves doing the job, and RTD writes for her perfectly.

I love Jemma Redgrave in this role. Like most fans, I do wish she was given a bit more to work with, her character has much more potential than we've seen on screen. But I really appreciate the respect she shows for the legacy of her character, here. I think we'll see more from Kate next season, and I'm looking forward to it.

Kate Stewart is becoming one of my favourite protagonists in new who, other than the Doctor of course. She is badass and has met nearly every new who doctor and is played really well by Jemma!

Thinking about it in my own weird way this is the equivalent of her Tardis just like how each actor usually gets there own Tardis. It must be awesome in a way from an actors perspective, get to have that big space to act in and so much to act around.

I know that it’s a different universe and franchise altogether, but every time I look at UNIT, it always makes me think of the DEO from The CW’s Supergirl

I hope they bring back old UNIT characters (whether it be in Dr Who or the upcoming UNIT spinoff) like Martha Jones, Jo Jones/Grant, Osgood, Malcolm Taylor or Sergeant Benton. 🙏 Especially Sergeant Benton since he served alongside the Brigadier so it would be nice to have a founding member of UNIT return. 🤞 Plus the actor who played Benton (John Levene) is still alive.

Is Gemma Redgrave capable of behaving in a way that isn’t classy? I feel like she wakes up and she’s had classy dreams! She’s at once more grown up AND more fabulous then I think I shall ever be. I’m so glad she’s stayed on for the role and we had better be getting this teased UNIT spinoff and when it comes, let it be worthy of the characters it has in its cannons and the actors who play/ed them. What I mean is that if Gemma Redgrave has signed on to do something then by god, give her the writing, show running and production she and her entire cast will deserve. If that cast happened to involve one Ingrid Oliver wouldn’t that be interesting- though utterly unlikely. Anyway, my bumbled thoughts are that Gemma is amazing and something to watch between season one and season 2 that’s more than a Christmas special would be great!

I love Kate Stewart and the last episode really showed of her authority in Unit. Seeing the amount of detail in the set really makes me think wear getting a Unit spinoff or the designers are very prideful about their work. 😀

I love Jemma Redgrave and I love Kate Lethbridge-Stewart. If we do get a UNIT spin-off Kate needs to be the main character (obviously with Jemma as the main actor)

Ever since her first story in Matt's tenure, it has been a journey to follow her character because of how amazing the actress is. Kudos to her for keeping the spirit alive.

Having Jemma Redgrave portray the Brigadier's daughter has been wonderful to watch. There are moments where she certainly comes off as the Brig,'s daughter. Still waiting for her to say 5 rounds rapid though.😅❤

I can't help but wonder if the set designers were inspired by Loki season 1 to go into that level of detail for the desks and work environment. We may not consciously be aware of all those details while watching (at least, the first time) but they really do make a difference.
