Jenna Nichols has not been with us for very long so we do not have a ton of video but we do have a ton of love for this young lady. “JK” is not only a great catcher but she is an even better “person”. Behind the plate she certainly gets the job done is all aspects of being a “catcher”. Framing is often times underrated but JK works very hard for her pitchers and turns lots of balls into strikes with subtle moves. She also takes a lot of pride in keeping balls from getting to the backstop and very few do. Obviously we don’t want runners to advance on steals and again very few do. She is the total package behind the plate and we are very blessed to have her.

Offensively, JK bring a lot to the plate as well. She can hit for average and recently has stepped up her power game as well. She is also very good in the small ball game and can lay down bunts to specific locations very well. Once she gets on base her incredible athleticism and softball IQ shows up big time. Her speed is great and her sliding is very aggressive.
