I'm 65 and my daughter & Son and are my best friends, when they were school age I had to remind them I'm your mom first. Demanding RESPECT From the both, and vice a versa ❤ I wanted them to feel comfortable talking to me about everything. And not have to figure things out by themselves. He's 44 she's 36 now, both married. my oldest Granddaughter and Grandson in college. I have 5 grands. It doesn't work for every parent and child which is understandable. Oh and did I mention no substance abuse. Good adults with morals I raised by myself. God Bless everyone reading this and God Bless the Nation

Nonsense. Between high school and college tons have "dated" way more than that. Being in the public eye we like to decide what someone else's life should be. Public eye or private citizen. anyone who wants a relationship that fits (not for us, but for them) don't happen to just give up. Common broke up with people and people broke up with him. Two he wanted to marry, but he gets trashed like crazy for still trying. Women get told to keep hanging in there. The next one might be their Boaz. Life happens. He lives his and we live ours.

Someone should have taught him about going through so many women. You can have a drink with a parent if you’re age appropriate. Trust me, if you come from a strong family , you will always understand who’s the parent and who’s the child.

Yes ma’am! I don’t have kids, but this is how I was raised! Too much familiarity breeds contempt and disrespect. I praise the Lord Jesus I was raised like this. It helped me learn to respect older people. Tell them Momma! You can become friends with them when they are adults. This is GOOD talk and I wish more parents would follow this advice!

People confuse the terms friends and peers. Your parents are not your peers but you should have a friendship with your children. A friendship is a covenantal relationship built on mutual trust and respect, as applicable. For those that are of the Judeo-Christian persuasion, GOD called Abraham His friend. Selah. I think that's kind of messed up she can't have a drink with her son until he in his mid thirties..... New years Eve, Christmas, Thanksgiving, or any holiday or occasion where a celebratory drink is customary... To make him feel as though he cannot partake in that because she's his mother is way overboard. Getting effed up at a bar is NOT the same as sharing a celebratory drink with your son. I can't believe she said that on national television... I'm embarrassed for him.

It'll be an interesting "experiment" to observe how long he'll date Jennifer. She has had long-term relationships, but he, on the other hand, doesn't seem to stick around no more than two years or so. With his track record how does he attract the women though? Serena wow! Angela, really 🤫 I was shocked by those two. Anywho so blessed to be happily married and don't have to go thru the dating scene anymore. Whew!

What relationship choices? I'll never understand why he's trashed so much. It's not because he's in the public eye, because there are way more entertainers, men and women, who've 'dated' MUCH more than this. Friends and co-workers and some family past that by the time they were leaving college. At least the man found 2 he wanted to marry. @@constancederamus1597Come on. My girl Jennifer struggles during interviews and that's understandable. She wasnt a journalist nor does she have prior experience as a media presenter. She can grow and I would advise her to get private tutoring etc. She needs someone like a Babara Walters or she can reach out to Oprah to give some lessons. People may have much to say about Oprah but she was the IT factor back in her day and she learned and took notes from Babara. Jennifer should consider that if she wants longevity. Interviewing is bit her natural habitat.
