@@JoeMama-tl4tr it’s not about stopping but the fact that there was so much confusion and the opposing team can see it and take complete advantage has gotta be so disappointing
James harden im 2015 played defense only casuals who just started watching basketball who only watch highlights and look at box scores and agree with what everyone says that james have no defense says this casuals always try to push the narrative that james harden never play defense lool at his 2015 rockets game against the lakers okc warriors spurs clippers and portland
Makes sense now that j Lin said that. Look at the way Damian reacted, he just bolted towards the person inbounding. Kinda like he overheard what harden and the others were talking about.
Glad I wasn’t the only one who remembered that. Lin got that block on prime Rose but I’ll never forget Rondo torching Lin. Rondo was too smart. Screw athleticism if you ain’t got the brain Rondo has. Idc
Lillard just standing there like he is pumping gas, watching the confusion and then boom...Lillard is in a full sprint towards Batum to get the ball. Still gives me goosebumps watching that.
@@italianwaterice9594it is though, not many times do you see a series winning shot from a team that hadnt won one in over a decade (game wasnt tied) with 0.9 seconds left from a catch and shoot about 6 ft past the 3 pt line
@@arriuscalpurniuspiso ... Yeah, once Linsanity hit, his jerseys kept getting sold more than the other players, the NBA stores could not keep up with the demand at one point.
He would be a brilliant coach if given a chance. But the NBA is racist. I'm not an SJW trying to start shit for no reason, but this man was playing out of his mind in the G-League, and nobody signed him. The NBA preferred chumps like THT over Lin.
I have been saying that for the past few years, that if he does not make it back to the NBA (major league) as a player, he can return as a coach once he retires. He has the playing knowledge & wisdom. We already saw him with the clipboard a few times during huddles when he was still in Houston. That could be a foreshadow of things to come, who knows. 05/12/24
It’s crazy how bad nba coaches are. They sub out defenders who lock up shooters. On the flip side a guy can be super hot and they sub him out in the fourth quarter. Let that guy have the game of his life.
Lost my mind when I saw that. Just like when he took him out the entire OT of game 4 of that series after he made that "mistake". But coaches been doing JLin veryyyyyyyy dirty thought his career. K Mchail, Bryon Scott and one from the Hornets, and Nick Nurse... And no I am not Asian...
@@tootspogsforever5590 Yeah, starting a 6ppg scorer in PJ hairston all season long over Lin, when Courtney Lee arrived, starting him over JLin. Also playing Lin only 19 minutes in that game 7 with a lot of those mins coming in Garbage time??? There's more. He wasn't as bad as Byron Scott, although he killed there, Lin was supposed to be lot better there. He was held back.
@Angel_559_ because he's not on a team? Maybe. I'd bet there's a lot of players still on payroll that he could outmatch. Why would I take the bet? Of the 400 plus players in the league, now how many have or will make the impact he did. That's 350 plus players who will be in the league longer than he was, and you'll never know their names. If you meet one of them, based on your opinion of JL, you'll disregard them as a 'scrub' or 'benchwarmer'. I don't understand how people so loosely throw around terms like 'washed', 'scrub' etc... In my opinion, he could still play in the NBA. To the same level of impact, maybe not, but there are hundreds who never have and never will make an impact the way he did. He deserves more respect, really.
Definitely not a starter now as he’s older and the league having quite a bit of upcoming star guards, but definitely enough to lead a second unit like Russ is doing right now. Sad that he got robbed of his prime because of injuries and racism.
@@kofig8357 Yes I believe you are right. But he could be a good bench guy, play few minutes. Though he been on many teams and played a lot. Maybe too much a ball hog anyway, that misses instead of making the hard shot like before. Lol
@@sparingpickle4918 It's not about talent, it's about respect. Respecting the authority of the coach, in this case. Also, the talent gap between Europe and North America has been consistently closing the last decade.
@@LeMassiveNoob ohhh you think it’s close? Lmaooo bruh now your opinion on basketball is almost obsolete. Would you like to retract that statement before everyone else realizes you don’t know what your talking about? Lol 😂 .
@@dragonelectronics2525 When is the last time the USA used all its best players? Ohh yeaaa. Every time they do they easily win. There’s a massive gap. Get over it, drink your tea, praise a queen, and start being polite to strangers lol 😂
Do whatever you want, but no the f****** plan going in. There was a tremendous amount of unnecessary confusion there. Switching or man or whatever the case may be, at least offer some kind of contest. They let bro get a wide open look
No he didn’t lmao. Bruh Lin was not some all time great nor was he even some type of all star lol. The only thing linsanity proved was that he deserved to be on a roster. Please stop
@@lornegreen6755He had potential to be at or around an all star level the teams he was on just didn’t fuck with him despite him proving himself by leading the Knicks to some good wins while Melo (who was in his prime) was injured.
Bruh he had a two week stint made a career off it 😂 That lil run got him more time in then nba that he should’ve No team making J Lin their top scorer and expecting to win 😂
@@andrewcortez3353He doesn’t need to be a top scorer though? Even if he was mediocre by NBA standards, if he was black or white, he would still be in the NBA because he is in the middle of the pack, like most players are. But he still was kicked out because of his race
If u actually watched that game u would know that if they would’ve switched like James harden said, chandler parsons wouldn’t have had to chase dame around the perimeter.
Can’t wait to hear McConnells take on his coach subbing him out last night probably will be similar to Lins take by far was their best playmaker and showed the most heart guarding Brunson.
Clippers havent lost since harden oicked uo his gane lin coukdnt outscore dlo last time he was in nba just say you hate black people bro 🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️
Makes sense why harden hasnt made it to the finals in over a decade. He shouldve listened to the coach whos won a championship multiple in fact. Listen to the coach unless lebrons in your team 😂
@@Tb-gz4qt Yeah he kept running into the GSW, but he never win a series over them, they have the chance to do so with the 3-1 lead but they blew it, and still they have one more chance and they missed almost their 3pt fg in which he was the one who missed the most fg and that says alot, he's not meant for big playoffs games, just like Kobe said his (harden) playing style and the way he approach mentally will not win a championship.
Maybe we need more Harvard educated hoopers instead of only having 2.1 GPA brothers. There’s a reason Jokic, Doncic, JJ Redick are some of the best minds in the sport.
2.1 is very generous for these knuckleheads. I had some ballers in my college English class and they couldn’t put together two sentences in a 50 min class.
@@user-js7vx2uv1t ... Yup & that is why when NBA players are given TV commercials to be in, you only see them in subject matter like the ones for `Stay in School` & `Reading is Fundamental` for kids, when those commercials happened as recent as the 1990s. You do not see NBA players in commercials talking about computers, engineering & the sciences, or anything as deep & complex, or even talking about it like a teacher, heh. I am sure a rare few have gone into engineering & science as a college degree, but most are not, in the past 75 years of this league. Jeremy Lin himself has an Economics degree. 05/12/24
This what Kobe meant by lack of killer instincts. A killer doesn't break the Timeout without knowing what's going on. If he had been locking up Dame in the timeout he speaks up and says I GOT MY MAN YOU GET YOURS!!! But Jlin too soft thus his career went the way it did. These are things only someone who played basketball at a high level would understand
he got subbed out buddy how u gonna call him soft, twinklefingers. if u listen to dame break down the play he mentions that right before pat bev and chandler parsons were discussing whether or not to switch and so he just went to the ball
and keep kobe name out ur mouth brodie… the ppl walking around talkin bout mamba mentality this mamba mentality that were the same ppl callin him selfish and hating while he was around
Aye all the real greats got either black balled or got sat aside for those that the league wanted to show case, but could never get it done without wanted to be traded to a super team or becoming a super team. Crazy big up Lin he got his ring and they still chasing.
I did this in a game last year. One of the opposing players wanted to be the star of guarding me coz they knew that the play is mine even though his teammate(who was guarding me for the entire 2nd half) was a better defender but the ohter one insisted on guarding me but he is slow af, and I am fast. I suddenly remembered this Lillard play where he took off all of a sudden to get the ball. I did the same thing. I pretended to be just standing and chillin on the corner then I took off to the other side, got the ball, drove to the basket and hit the shot. We ended up winning by 1 point where I hit the game winner.
It was Parsons. He was literally on camera during the live broadcast coming out of the huddle patting his chest saying "I GOT HIM, I GOT HIM" Lifelong Rockets fan and that play still bothers me.
Before Lin knees started going out he was a decent defender. Lin should have took the initiative and made that point about Dame not scoring on him in the 4th. You can’t lose that argument.
