Good video and I carry two in my primary wade box. I’ve done well on occasional good fish but would like your take on retrieves and how, why, and when you vary the retrieve.
Captain Bush, I learn a lot from the types of videos. I never really thought of hard baits much. In a world of Corky, Corky, Corky here in Texas these lures add some variety for me to the experience. I bought this exact lure fished it on the local pond, caught a bass. Fished West Galveston and caught 3 trout and a personal best flounder. Sad story now, I used #4 VMC round bend, and the flounder broke the hook right as I picked the line up to grab him with the BOGAs. Thanks for the recommendation. I love these types of videos.
Michael Kelley thanks for the comment, that’s why I always swap out my hooks on Rapala products. The VMCs are terrible. I use the OWNER ST-36...super Strong and super sticky
I have really enjoyed these videos and am looking to implement jerkabits into my inshore fishing. Never having really fished with any what are your preferred setups for jerkbaits. Thank you for all the great info. Need to listen to more of the podcasts next.
just curious what color have you found better luck with Chris. Thanks and just found out somehow I just now subscribed to youtube page and I have been following you on fb forever lol fixed now sorry!!!
Robert Holmes the one I’m holding is probably one of the better colors. It’s called Haymaker. Other very productive ones are Halloween and Purpledescent
Bob Gill if my intent is to throw a jerkbait that day, I’m going to start with a Shadow Rap Shad, then go from there. The Ripstop is good, more finesse for sure but like everything else works in different conditions
