the geometry in this map is basically recreated from the jerma's basement i already made in Hammer which had put in as an easter egg room in one of my ttt maps trenchbroom is what's used to make quake maps but it's also what's used to create cruelty squad maps, and because the source engine is based on the quake engine i just copied over the brushwork from Hammer to TrenchBroom with the same scale (i dont have a 2nd monitor so this was a painstaking process) however something i didnt realise is that a player in the source engine is usually 72 units tall, but in cruelty squad they're like 32 units tall, so the scale of the map ended up being too big but i didn't wanna bother fixing it up and jerma being tiny looks funny anyway

btw what map have you made? is it on the crus.cc website? the textures for the map geometry are all stock textures except for the carpet (which is just the stock grass texture which i changed the colour of), though of course the textures on jerma is a custom texture if you want help with getting custom textures working, you can ask in the #modifications channel in the official crus discord the easiest way to use custom textures i think is to embed them in the level's scene, something with the "make unique" and/or "local to scene" options or whatever (keith mason probably knows more about how to do it this way) i don't do it that way since it's a little inefficient for the map's file size (since you're storing binary data in a text format) and im obsessed with optimising file sizes i use a more complicated way with having the custom textures as individual files by renaming the file paths referenced inside every appropriate custom file (scene files, import files, res files, etc) that the map will be using i wrote a script to do it for me since that's a very painstaking process to do manually (especially since you have to do it recursively)

most pirated versions of cruelty squad are outdated so maps made for the latest version won't work on them, try finding an updated version

alternatively, try to see if simply changing the godot version would work, this is the version that the latest version of crus uses: godotengine.org/download/archive/3.5.2-stable/ you can rename the godot executable to crueltysquad.exe and it should work

@@wgetJane I’ll be able to in the morning i start with a rocket and the ray gun destroy both jerma’s, grab all keys, go upstairs and grab flashlight, I use the goo speed speed ability to get down the hallway, for crazed jerma I use the life goggles to see him and the ray gun to destroy. Then I try to pick up the pistol he drops to break the glass and ray gun the rest

@@StinkygooberTM oh you mean 2.23 minutes not seconds lmao you get better ratings on hope eradicated mode, it's 1:30 for an S rank since that's the fastest time i could get S rating on normal mode is like iirc 7 seconds because you don't need to do the funny route to beat it
