A lot of people always say they're not impressed with jermaines performances of this songs but this song is hard to play and sing at the same time cuz it's hard to slap bass like that and sing like that. I give jermaine a LOT of credit for doing this how he's done it over the years. Plus it's my favorite of his songs :)
I like his live performances. I think he seriously doesn't get the credit he deserves. He had many solo hits throughout the 70s/80s but no one remembers that for some reason
yes very difficult to play bass and sing at the same time. especially that type of Bass Playing. because he's doing 2 different things at once. That's just crazy...
Exactly. People always criticize things they haven’t don’t before or can’t do. Try singing live and playing at the same time. You just can’t please everyone.
Jermaine Jackson have one hell of a voice i tell you that even when you listen to his recordings as a Jackson 5 when his voice come in there you can just feel that power of that song when your brothers left Motown records I'm glad you stayed because I don't think you would have had that super hit🎼🎙🎸🎶🎵👏👏👏👏
Another Jermaine song to listen to is, Do what you Did, Another is ,Tickle your fancy, Another is, Dynamite, Another is, Don't take it personal, And From years ago, when he sang lead with is brothers, the song is, Daddy's Home. And I almost forgot on his Let's get serious Album, the song is, Where are you now. Jermaine has always been talented, it's just that someone is always comparing him to Micheal. He needs to travel the road he's traveling, and don't worry about anyone else's journey. When you look at others, journey, you lose since of your own direction .Well, the best of everything to all the Jacksons. R. I. P. Micheal.
Jermaine can play bass and sing,..that's a hard song to do that on,..he's a bad boy !!! I'm like that,..I'd rather sing with my bass,..rather than just sing without it.
See as child growing up with the Jackson 5, we did not believe that Jermaine and Tito were actually playing! But if you look up some of those rehearsals of the J5 back in the day, you see that Jermaine was playing bass and not faking! He's good!
Have you ever been to their live concerts in the early 70s? No disrespect but if you have, you could that not only were Jermaine and Tito playing, but also Ronnie on keyboards and organ, and Johnny on drums. Johnny was only 15 and played like someone with years of experience.
Omg i love him still. I saw the 1st part with Don't Take It Personal also. I crushed on Jermaine and Michael all through the 80's Lol Everyone should check him out bringing fire live on Showtime At The Apollo
I am hungry for the performance of Jermaine Jackson on the Soul Train; It was on RU-vid at one time; apparently someone removed it by mistake; to arbitrarily remove this great Artist, with many more credits to his name is unfair to his past, present, & future FANS. A Jackson's Fan Forever. Thank you very much. I love this TV live performance as always.
Praise be to God Allah. Jermaine tore that bass up and sounded great on them vocals too. U can definitely see the family talent of the Jackson 5 of course as children and through their adulthood.
This guy and his brother Tito were just teenagers who fronted very talented 4 piece band who managed to play those huge early hits note for note. Yet they weren’t even allowed to play on their own albums ! Very talented indeed !
Damn slapping bass line and singing … wtf…jermaine has got some amazing skills… i can sing and play guitar but for some reason i find bass way harder to play and sing with
I might be the next Percussionist-Vocalist with Jermaine Jackson. My spiritual musical name is Nnknachawcha Akeem Shaalam ALPHA PHI ALPHA and Executive MIAKA

Very stilted, awkward wrap-up. Maybe 'Senio knew that the Porcelana Fade Cream promotional consideration acknowledgment was coming up? lol....... interesting choice of sponsors on this night! ;-)
Is this where we are now? Criticizing an f'n nighttime variety sponsor list? What about all of the shows in which TOILET PAPER manufactureres are the major sponsor? Asswipes! C'mon man, find something else to talk about. You f'n people.
