I am totally shocked! How can I remember watching Bandstand every afternoon as a very little girl, and now finding out it moved out to L.A. that early? I knew of course that it did move out to L.A. fairly soon, and I was only born in '54. And I remember watching the local kids dance!

Dick Clark inherited American Bandstand. Don Cornelius created and branded Soul Train.

Bob Horn "lost" Bandstand because of his DUI and sex rumors. It was after that when Dick Clark became the DJ.
