His drums on this song and album are fantastic. Kinney is the man, may not be the most technical dude out there but he always writes perfect drums to pair with Jerry’s music. Kind of unrelated but Mike bordin of faith no more also laid down some great drums for Jerry’s degradation trip vol1&2 album.

I loved Boggy Depot. I had a tape at home, one in my car and one at work. Yep, good old cassette tapes. When my home one disappeared, I found it in my 13 year old sons room, along with my AIC tapes. A Mother had never been more proud.

I'm 36, I never remember hearing this song or seeing the video on mtv. Weird. First time I ever saw it. Good song. He's definitely underrated for everything he's done
This song feels like it should be in a film about people who do drugs, yet is about the cutthroat nature of drug addicts. That is genuinely funny to me. Not only that, but Cantrell wrote this in ten minutes while drunk. He is such a genius that he can write a song this good under the influence in that little time.
Most classic songs,rock especially were written while under the influence of something..drugs definitely enhance the creative process. Of course they destroy the artists at the same time
Al Jorgensen was wasted off his tits (smack and piss) when they did Just One Fix. They sat him on a stool in front of a mic and told him to let it rip. All improvised. He had to be picked up off the floor and placed back on the stool more than once but it made a hell of a song..and filmclip
That tour was one of my first shows, I was 15, man I wish I could go back to it now, I would appreciate it so much more now after becoming such a huge Jerry and AIC can

I like the part where he’s tweaking the radio dial and you can hear the garbled radio waves. I also like the constant ringing of the cymbal throughout the song.

Man, I haven't heard this in yeeears!! I loved it even more finding out it was Jerry.. though he has that distinct voice and guitar tone. LOVE it. So glad this popped up in my recommendation.
Yeah. I love most, if not all, of his stuff. Down in a Hole, Rooster, Heaven Beside You and Over Now are definitely my most favourite songs he's written (among many). They're easy to relate to and can sucker punch you in the gut with the emotions put into them. His voice when solo is unreal but when harmonising with Layne, it's pure perfection🥰. No Excuses is the first song I ever heard of theirs and I've grown to love it more over the years/decades. AIC and their music are timeless.. they never get old. No matter how much I age, I never tire of listening to them 👌🏻🤘🏻

The first AIC song I've heard was/is Them Bones (back in 1992, when the Dirt album was released)...so kick ass (I love the video too)...I thought....wow...what a song (music) and what a vocalist (never heard something like that before...or after). I still listen to AIC ofc. Timeless music, as you said...and about a week ago I was lucky enough to find and buy (FINALLY) Jerry Cantrell's Degradation Trip (Volumes 1 & 2) on vinyl (limited edition, only 2000 copies exist). Amazing.

My experience with this song, I was buzzing, and in 10 mins went from never hearing it, to being infatuated with it, lmao. I kept playing it, it kept getting better, after 4 or 5 times, I was stomping around the basement, air banding at full throttle, thinking, 'Jesus, this song is just fkn amazing. Who is this guy?' I did know AIC, but couldn't connect them ....
I love this song! I first heard it the other day for the first time! Reminds me of what you’d hear in the 90s punk/alternative scene! It’s like the old days are coming back again! Nothing but guitar and lyrics, none of this fancy crap that they had in the 80s that some of the bands today use as well. The video was cool. But, he lost me at the gas station, what happened there? LOL
