My mom died last night. I opened up my UTb and there it was. Thank you Thank you Thank you. Mom would be proud that I can still dance in my kitchen. :)

It’s impossible for me to respond to every “thank you” but I do read and appreciate them all immensely. Along with the thanks, all the sharing of personal experiences, private conversations, special invitations, and offers of new friendships, everyone here has given me more back that I ever could imagine. And in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make is really true. So to thank everybody who‘s been on this journey with me during the past couple of years, this one is for y’all.

Jerry at his best. This is stunning. Pure emotion. Everything comes together perfectly. Donna and Maria ROCKED throughout. Enough with the haters. We get it. This show is as close to perfect as it gets.

It's hard to pick an era of greatness but IMHO the late 70's were Jerry's best years. I saw him about 50 times from 77-82 and this brings it all back. Thank you for this amazing post. The post about a grown man crying is pretty dam accurate. I am back in heaven. Thank you

Unbelievable. Jerry was the best. Period. I can't beleive how well the music stands up. 70's Jerry was on a different level of musician, the Mt. Rushmore level.

I could watch this every day for 34 years and in no way get tired of it. Listen to his voice it gets no better. I do absolutely feel lucky to have been at this show. Mr. voodoo job well done,as usual.

The Grateful Dead were not buried in the 90's....there were some great moments to behold. Check out the Richfield 3/20/94 and 6/6/92 Richfield shows...also 6/20/92 with the post-drumz Casey Jones. Not every show was wonderful, but the parking lots were consistently well attended.

This is some of the best JG footage ever. Totally engaged with the tunes audience and bandmates - doing HIS thing with HIS band. Unreal. Thanks.

I was at this show. Jerry's glasses flew off during Rhapsody in Red and off the stage. They did come back for an encore and he had on sunglasses. My dad taped the early show for me off WNEW-FM while we were on the way to the show. I miss the 1970s.....

This concert is truely fun to listen to, both with your ears and soul. And from what I can see of Jerry he was truely having a great time, the music flowed from deep within and ran strait into the crowds heart. I really wish I would have been able to see him, and I now call myself a modern day Jerry Garcia fan, and The Dead! But something about those magical wizard fingers of Jerry wow...

True, saw so many shows in the venues of SF, Jerry would just pick and grin at his fine little band.

It is quite obvious that this is a labor of love for you. Obviously you have put in a tremendous amount of time. It was truly nice to read what you said here. I met Billy the night before the Providence shows in 1987. He told a few of us that WE were the reason that they kept on touring. Your words here reminded me of that night. Its nice to be appreciated, your family loves you.

It's always great to discover Jerry music I've never heard before.

This really is great stuff! The night before the concert released in the "Pure Jerry" series, and just as good. Jerry was really excited about Cats Under the Stars, plus he had a great band, obviously. You can hear that he was really feelin' the vocals especially.

Thank you Klauss -- very much appreciated. Possibly the earlier show was broadcast on local radio WNEW, if I remember correctly.

Went to the early show that night. Used to go to shows at the Capitol all the time. I always thought it was kind of crazy that they had those two black & white screens on either side of the stage. So happy they did now. I remembering leaving the early show and thinking $8.50 plus 1.50 for Ticketmaster and they only played 8 songs. What a ripoff, more than $1 per song. Now they're just priceless.

fantastic show. 3-18-78 was my first JGB experience. music was still really good then but tough times were right up on the horizon for Jerry + friends.

Holy shi#* Voodoonola, this absolutely shreds, thanks soo much. I only saw this JGB lineup once, December 8th 1977 The Palace Theater in Albany NY, people didn’t believe me how fired up Garcia was, totally shredding his strings on many songs. Garcia was such a road beast, between the last time I saw the Dead in ’77, 11/6 in Binghamton to the ’78 East coast Spring tour, JGB Band played 50 shows, many early and late shows, it’s no wonder his voice is a little raspy. Great stuff, thanks again!!
