I saw him playing with the Mahavishu Orchestra in 1976 (I think) and he amazed me! He's been amazing ever since and I don't know why we don't see (and hear) more of his stunning playing!
thanks for this man, for me is the best memory i have for i beam believe if only the good things can make the existence true, with a pure feelings of good music
Had this on cassette, which I played so much that it wore through. Thanks for bringing it back. I enjoy the Mahivishnu sutff, and I may be in the minority, but I like this era more.
Back when I was a pup, I got into PG and E and of course my friends didn't have a clue. Where are the rest of the band? Jerry is brilliant. He would be wonderful doing jazz gigs.
geneking, the album is only 23 years old; don't age Jerry more than he needs. I was pretty amazed at the musicianship on this also; after the Mahavishnu, the playing almost BETTER complemented his own style. I had the tape, but have the CD now for years. there are a couple of other songs from it posted on RU-vid, but I'll do another if anyone wants.
I have this on vinyl but no longer have the means to play it. Haven't heard it in a lot of years and it's nice to hear it still sounds so good. Thanks for reminding me! I wish I could get it on CD but I haven't had any luck tracking it down.
Beautiful piece - as always with Jerry. Yes, I like all the break off's of the Mahavishnu and Return to Forever days - or should I just say, the Miles Davis break-off's. The pioneers of music. Many a violin player inspired by Jerry Goodman, such as Paul sax in Curved Air "It Happened Today" filmed by TV2DAYproductions
One of the tightest "fusion" group of the time.Larry Coryell also overlooked. Great player and guitarist. Swing on. Jeff Pulfer. check out Larry Coryell.
I'm so honored and grateful to have performed live and recorded with both Jerry Goodman and Larry Coryell (although never together at the same time, unfortunately). Two legends, indeed.
Fred Simon I counted 5 4 and 3 8 you guys are remarkable I like the way Jim Hines handle 13 8 I love odd meters love your playing All the love and the whole universe to you from Charles H Hill
OK, give me your street address to send you a copy. It'd be on a Sony or TDK cassette, normal bias, type I, unless you prefer a type II or type IV tape.
