This man still has a aura about him. Im from Ferriday and was good friends with frankie jean and alot of the lewis clan. This man is a real as they come. God given talent. God blessed Jerry Lee Lewis
@@PaulGaston88 I still own a house oj Lake St John, but my uncle uses it. Trying to get back this year. I had plans to go last year but Covid happened.
I was four years old when this interview was recorded. I have been listening to this man play rock and roll my entire life. Jerry was given a talent from God. I hope he knows how much I love him. I hope I get to meet him someday in Heaven. His name is Jerry Lee Lewis.
Jerry is one of life's survivors, he did it all and survived it, Elvis, Carl Johnny, Roy, they all passed, but Jerry, lovely Jerry, he is still above ground...
Interviewer is Dave "Daddy Cool" Booth. This was a bonus LP from a Bear Family box set repackaging his Mercury records from the 60's. Amazing collection with an excellent book by Colin Escott.
Thanks for sharing this interview. He is a lot less contrary these days. He knows about the bible and calls out people who do not know what he is talking about.
Jerry Lee got a buzz on. The Sons of Dixie have not and God willing will not change. Love ya like we will never see you again. Fight ya like a bobcat in a phone booth. Southern Born and Southern Bred!
Jerry never just went on stage, he commanded the stage. One commentator said he was always in full control of that keyboard, he made it seem nonchalant.
funny he talks alot difference in his later yrs about people and about God. u have to listen real close to what hes saying. he dont talk about people in his later yrs. like he talks good about everyone.
Jerry is right in his point but he’s wrong about the word religion not in the Bible it’s in there 5 times. Acts 26:5 Which knew me from the beginning, if they would testify, that after the most straitest sect of our religion I lived a Pharisee. Galatians 1:13 For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews' religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and wasted it: Galatians 1:14 And profited in the Jews' religion above many my equals in mine own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers. James 1:26 If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain. James 1:27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.
Rebellion between (Gileadist) religion and blues music talent = this. Maybe this anti-Gilead singer has 10 whiskeys too many but who cares? Thankfully, Gilead lost.
