Love this clip!! I've never seen Ms. Jane together with Jerry.; they make an excellent team!!! Loved her on the Beverly Hillbillies series. "I'm going canary hunting with this gun." ha ha ha
My favorite scene in my favorite Jerry movie! But they missed out on a great line at the end.... "Don't you want the whole box (of shells)?" "What for? I'm only going to shoot one elephant."
Jerry Lewis was one of the greatest comedy actor the world have never see! I never meet him personaly but i'm sure he was a straordinary man.And if i really meet him i would have died laughing. Is better i not meet him personaly in this case.
Whose minding the store is one of Jerry's best, also look for Nancy in a small part as one of the shoppers in the supply store before the bar fight in the classic Shane 1953.
In those days you could charge something just by saying "Charge it"??? No showing a charge card--or even I.D.--no signature, no NOTHING??? Wow. They were so advanced. We've really regressed.
In those days, it was a little more to it. You'd give the clerk your name, address and card number. The store would then charge your account, and the card company sent you the bill. Problem is too many people were taking advantage of it by making fraudulent purchases. If you had someone's name, address and card number, you could buy anything, and the victim wouldn't know about it until they got the bill. Hence the reason for IDs, PINs and other authentication nowadays. People can still steal those but it wasn't as easy as simply knowing a card number.

@pecosRoy I agree! Jerry was the best! That's for sure! Multi talented man! Great physical performer, incredibly funny, intelligent, witty. He was a genius ! There was NOTHING that he couldn't do! He will always be my favorite!
pecosRoy I agree with you! Those who call his work " stupid" , in my opinion, do not understand much about talent ! Jerry doesn't need anyone to defend him! He is a legend! He made generations laugh! He is a classic! He represents the comedy and the tragedy! He was and still is the greatest clown! An amazing artist and human being. He was ahead of his time and a pioneer! Every single comedians of today was inspired by his work as well as many directors were inspired by the way he directed his movies. I could talk or write for hours about how much I love him and appreciate his work. He was more than a legend! :)
"Miss Jane" on steroids................. It's obvious that the gun that fell from the rack HIT Jerry down on the floor. There is a cut there just after and I'm betting there was a lot of YELLING, LADY! WITH THE TING AND DE GUN AND SUCH....GUYVINBLAVIN!
hes like an introduction to comedy rather than a comedy king i was doing more sophisticated comedy when i was 14 this was just the most base example of comedy
I can tell you're one of those people who thinks Jerry just did the pie in the face type of comedy to make such a statement as, "i was doing more sophisticated comedy when i was 14." His films may seem basic and juvenile, but when you delve deeper into them, you would find that they are far more sophisticated and have far more depth to them than the surface shows. Now, I would say that when Jerry was simply the star of the films, like the one above, that you're right about him being an introduction to comedy. However, when he starred in films that he was also the director, writer, and producer of, he proved to be a comedy king.
I like Jerry Lewis, because many of his bits can be funny, but this isn't one of them. Nancy Kulp is very good in this scene, but he just hams it up something awful, and the result is just not funny.
