I used to work at a cheesesteak shop for 4 years. I would grill, be front line, or cashier. I personally loved grill because I loved knowing I was making delicious food for the customers. We didn’t grill our peppers in though, we would make whatever type of Philly it was and then bring the sandwich to the front where whoever was working the front would dress it up with sweet and hot peppers to order. If the customer wanted thier Philly hoagie style it was the front job to grab a roll and dress it with Mayo, tomato, and lettuce and bring the prepped roll back to the grill. It was a ton of fun actually
Why do I want to quit my job all of a sudden and work at a place like this. I’ve been on a POV fast food binge watch and I respect these people so much. It’s an art if you think about it.
i wish i could try this place, last time i had it we said no cheese and they added cheese 😣. (dairy allergy, like peanut but dairy). looks so soo goooood
Outside always seems nicer looking in. Can't see the piece of shit managers, lazy rich entitled owners, or the multitude of morons you'll deal with. Oh, and don't forget getting threatened daily if you work in a bad area.
Very interesting seeing how other Jersey Mike’s have their stores laid out especially with your grill unit. We don’t even have avocados at mine! But I must know, do you just grab lettuce from the front line? P.S. fix the ELO systems!
working as a grill op for jerseys, only mistake this gentleman made was cooking the veggies together we are supposed to seperate them so they cook fully compared too the peppers being on top the onions, your just gonna have one side cooked and the other soggy but we all makes mistakes its just all about fixing em.
The reason we put peppers on top of onions is because they get caramelized. I’m not sure if you work for JM but you can look at the training guide it mimics the same thing. Thanks for the input though.
Hey I just applied for a job at jersey mikes. any tips on how to remember food or what to expect, also ares is like a chipotle it’s at the front they can watch while I make the sandwiches. I’m going to be nervous making sandwiches right in front of them. Thank you.
Don’t be nervous! Just imagine you’re making it for yourself and it’ll fix most issues. As far as remembering, practice and repetition will allow you to get better. Be patient with yourself and it’ll come
Hey I start on Monday was just wondering do I have to completely shave off all my facial hair? Or do u have to wear a mask/net over it or is it laid back as long as its pretty short and well kempt
Also thank u for your videos this has given me a clear idea of what to expect on a day to day basis. And I think this will help me excel in my position🖤
We don’t require a clean shave at our location but I can’t speak for all locations. If you haven’t been told about it yet, I would imagine it’s not required to do so. Good luck!!!
