Welcome / Welcome back to Those 2 Runners!
This week's video sees us take on Jesmond Dene Parkrun - the hilliest but prettiest of Newacstle's 3 Parkruns. It has steps to climb, the biggest hill imaginable and a fast downhill to the finish!
We brought our nephew Johnny with us this week who took me to a fierce sprint finish - watch to the end to find out who won!

Have to admit, my last 500m or so of a parkrun is very often by far the quickest!!!!

@@tonyuk928 I’m the same! It’s that grit and determination us runners get to get the job done (and usually the promise of coffee and cake when I’m done haha! 😂)

yeah gotta (try) to put a bit of a sprint in at the end, having volunteered a few times i can tell you its likely those ones at the finish appreciate the effort too!

Chris is right, this is an amazing place for hill training. It’s right on my doorstep - I’m so lucky to be able to run here regularly. Never done it as a Park Run though so it was great to see the route. Just found your channel and have subscribed.

It’s a beautiful place to run! I’ve done the women’s Anita Nott Race there a couple of times and always enjoy it 😊 - great hill training I agree and loved the downhill! It’s still up there as one of my most difficult Parkruns! Thanks so much for subscribing and the support! We appreciate it and so glad you enjoyed the video 😊

We did about 29 minutes 😊 I think we were racing the day after though so we’d have been taking it a bit easier! We’ll have to go back and have another go! 😃
