Jesse is good for Taylor. He is not rigid and is accepting of catholics like JD Vance where they are. Not everyone’s life is as blessed as Taylor’s. Why are there more Protestants than Catholics? Why are people leaving the Catholic Church? When Taylor says if you don’t pray the rosary every day you are not on the team statements like that may turn people off who are good Catholics and do the best they can to practice their faith.

We need Vance. Keep praying for his conversion and understanding. When you compare him to the alternative, the choice is so obvious. In politics, sometimes you have to say what will help get you elected, especially in this fallen world where abortion has become so extreme. I pray for our country every day, and we need to continue without ceasing. These men are not perfect, but they are so much closer to our faith than what we have now. I try to look at it from the standpoint of who will be friendly about religious freedom.
On July 13th, Donald Trump truly had a legion of Angels and Archangels guarding him from death in Butler Pennsylvania. It's a shame that Corey Comperatore died, but that was on the shooter. And as long as Trump steers towards God and right, I firmly and absolutely believe that God will continue to have his Angels and Archangels protecting Donald Trump.

Mr. Vance may well ease into a pro-life stance long before the issues of four or five years even begin to take shape. Dr. Marshall I have been listening to you for a long time now and ha eso benefited by your expertise. Jesse makes so much sense, and I believe right now you need to be supporting Vance, he is a newbie to the faith, he wasn't brought up in it and you have to take baby steps before you walk or run. It is all politics. I agree. Trump is making clear that the Supreme Court has thrown the issue to the states. This frees them of taking a stance that might put Democrats in power forever. If Democrats gain permanent power, many many people will die. If we care about life, shouldn't we also consider that? I believe that looking to the future is smart and is best for unborn life, as well. It is important that conservatives gain power in order to thwart their total agenda. We need to repair the culture, which will advance the pro-life view. That will save lives. This is a constitutional republic, not a dictatorship. We must take a long view. The Democrats sure do. That is how they gained so much power.
I am a follower of Jesus Christ. I am also a Protestant but from what you have said, we all need to fight to further the Gospel and our religious freedom. Dr. marshall and Mr. Romero, I appreciate you so very much. I am a 53 year old mother of 4. I’ve been Catholic since I was 25 years old. I am just in the last few years coming to know my faith really well. I absolutely believe that some people get stuck with trying to preserve free will for others even when we fully believe and know our faith. So whether JD Vance knows it’s right to promote The abortion pill is not the question in my opinion. It’s whether or not he believes in freedom for each person in this country. Even the freedom to make bad decisions. Not everyone has the grace of thirsting to know more about God and the Catholic faith. for some of us it has to trickle into our hearts. There is much depth to this question, but since this can’t be a conversation only a comment, I think your discussion proves how necessary it is to pray for our leaders.
One thing is the separation of Church and state. But another is the separation of State and Church... state should never be separated from the Church to avoid corruption... 🙏

It's like Michael Knowles' says, Republican Catholics are at a place right now where we have to go mute on abortion as much as possible. Preach the status quo, "let the states decide." Eventually the tide of public opinion will shift, and that's the time to act politically.

One thing I did also find interesting by the way about JD Vance is his entry into the Catholic Church is essentially on a red trad track, because he was baptized and confirmed into the faith at Saint Gertrude in Cincinnati. Yes the Saint Gertrude as in Saint Gertrude the Great which is the center of Catholic Sedevacantism in both Southern Ohio and Northern Kentucky and Eastern Indiana. I guess one thing that would be incumbent Upon Us Faithful Catholics would be to pray for his wife's conversion, as well perhaps as to pray for Trump's conversion to the faith since his wife is already Catholic. I am curious if Barron was baptized Catholic.
I believe he was because at his maternal grandmothers funeral Mass the Priests all blessed him outside the Church and I heard he was the only grandchild to receive this. I don't know about Communion at the Mass itself.
To set the record straight. There are two St. Gertrude parishes near Cincinnati. He was not baptized at St. Gertrude the Great parish. He was baptized at St. Gertrude Priory which is connected to St. Gertrude parish in Madeira, OH, a suburb of Cincinnati. St. Gertrude's in Madeira is run by the Dominican priests of the Province of St. Joseph. They are two different parishes. I go to St. Gertrude in Madeira and recognized the priest named in the National Catholic Register article I read about who baptized Vance. St. Gertrude's in Madeira is a thriving parish with very traditional and respectful Novus Ordo masses. They do periodically have Dominican Rite Latin masses, which is different the Traditional Latin mass. All this being said, I didn't realize there were two St. Gertrude parishes until several months ago when St. Gertrude the Great parish made the newspaper for some of the things you had mentioned. Where can I get this Book! Today is my daughter’s birthday, 7/23rd . I’ve been praying for her to re connect with her faith as a Roman Catholic and have her son, Baptized in the Roman Catholic Church as well. She left her faith since I’ve got divorced and unfortunately, my ex who was a Mormon got a full custody of my daughter for no reason! It was very unjustly done. Please for my daughter, Sharisse. Until modern times, all Protestant denominations forbade abortion. The original Reformers called it an abomination. It was the 1930 Lambeth Conference of the Anglican Church that opened the door to abortion, after hot debate, in hard cases-and the slippery slope began.
I agree, we need that book in Espanol. So many have been pulled out of God’s Church by evangelicals by tickling their ears with false teachings. Most of the ones i have talked to reject the Church’s teachings on the saints & the BVM. So, so sad. Catholics from Mexico are CINO. They do not know their faith.
