For just as the darkness befalls the skies, my mettle can only gain in strength. For as winter's breath still rushes down my spine, the blood and ink only seethe faster through the sail of my flights. As I look wantonly into the eyes of the unknown, my only wish is that my gaze be not met with hostility, aggression, or retreat, but with curiosity and wonder, if not peace and camaraderie, in the shared communion, of sight and silence. Let our desires beckon our hearts shed their veils of lethargy and garments of confinement, on this morrow of saintly reaffirmation to our bluest flame and brightest spark. Let my bastard spirit's echo rip through the mountain's misty shroud until my throat grows hoarse, and the pillars of beginning, middle and end, quake to the point where they themselves can't help but to shrug my body free of these frozen irons from my limbs, and shed my body these glass shards that are the woe of my bondage and vice. Let my humble fingers pry apart these unrelenting waves of bitter emptiness over our heads, so that nectarine rays fall forever on this moment of cultivation, and honey-pregnant rains sink into the roots of our deepest longings. May our minds become cleansed and purified, as we approach whatever experiences and truths that we seek or may come across. May these moments in passing limbo remembered, be the well from where we draw our inspiration, and the forge through which we cast our futures, beyond everlasting. For I am a poet, and this is my pledge, and my prayer. Now feel your wrist, remind yourself, do you feel it?" May this poem be a compass and torch to all that read it. \\m// (-_-) \\m//

I often want to get away from all of the things in my life and be whole with the universe again. Be free from the confusion, uncertainty and suffering in life. I know that there are also happier times, but as I get older there seems to be less and less to gain from life. Everything becomes routine and gets tiresome.
