Finally, the perfect version. With all due respect, I was never a big Whitney fan. In her prime, her technical skills, and her sass on upbeat pop tunes, were undeniable. But she powered through the big ballads in a detached way, like a sheet of ice. Jesica Sanchez sings this with much more nuance and control. and allows real emotion to infused the lyrics and her musical choices. Phrasing is so important, something most young singers just don;t get. This girl gets it.

She's amazing, but no amount of runs and note flicks and fast vibrato will ever match Whitney. No one can ever beat her. Ever. Whitney could sing the song straight toned without runs and still blow every other vocalist out of the water with the tone and size of her voice alone. I miss you, Whitney. We all do. RIP
