Andrew Lloyd Webber knew a great talent the first time he heard Jessie sing. But she has subsequently proved she is a great actress as well as a brilliant singer . The greatest talent who has ever appeared on any of those ALW talent shows. A super star in the making .

Its hilarious that her skills and ability now far outshine any of these judges by a factor of 10s. Wild Rose is phenomenal.

Blessing in disguise - she has also become a great and versatile actor (by 2020), and had she won the competition for Nancy she might have been lost forever to musical theatre.

So good when someone with immense talent succeeds to a level that those who criticised her could only dream of. And as for the forthcoming album with Bernard Butler? Surely a strong contender for album of the year!

Have seen Jessie is a series on TV about living in Aden post war and then a couple of films and decided she really is going to be a big hit. I've just watched Wild Rose and couldn't believe her singing abilities. Now I discover she came second in this series I watched and enjoyed, and remember her losing. It's so good to see how successful she is becoming, she deserves it.

Extremely impressive. This was "my dad's song". He loved it so much. Played at his funeral and only then I discovered the song. Since then I've been listening to many versions - and this is absolutely in the top 3

Well, to be fair, Jodie Prenger is a regular in Coronation Street now, so if she did fade into obscurity, she has made a comeback (and don't knock Corrie). However, seeing Jessie Buckley in the film 'Men' last night (Film 4), I think she is charismatic (I didn't realise that it was the girl from 'I'll do Anything' but she was 'singing' in a tunnel to make an echo in 'Men' and I thought she had a decent voice for an actor, not knowing she was first a singer).

Beautifully sung Ewan MacColl song. Now she's performing around the world accompanied by his son, Neill MacColl! She's brilliant!

Interesting. I just watched 'I'm thinking of ending things', and I found about this audition. I had actually watched this program for a couple of weeks back at the time. I didn't connect that fresh faced young girl with the actress in the Kaufman movie.

John and Denise Totally railroaded Jessy, Not too sure what went on in the background of this show! Maybe a clash of personalities I have no idea, If I were Judging I would go for the true talent .....Just Saying!

It's a wonder if any Irish performer has a career if they spend any time in the UK. This program was skewed to destroy Jessie thankfully Graham and Andrew and occasionally Cameron had a sense of natural justice and stopped Denise and John from their clever attacks on top of the ugly hairdo and ugly green outfits she was forced to wear. Both Hozier and U2 skipped Britain and focussed on making it in the US first. I don't know how Jessie survived this to make it to the US. If she won this dog and pony show it would have stuck her in UK and it might have finished her.

Someone with ill intent pushed themselves to let touch Jessie prior to going into the audition thats how she lost her essence that time. GOD IS MY WITNESS. God has your back Jessie❤!!!.
