I don't really watch women's football, but I remember few years back and watching Canada in the U17 world cup and she stuck out like a sore thumb patrolling the middle, glad she is still at it!

Fleming broke Alex Morgan's ankles in one of those highlights 4:08. Her lateral movement with the ball is impressive. Fleming is the highlight of that match against the USWNT and was the best player on the pitch. With the huge player pool that the US have, you would think they would try to find players like Fleming and develop them. Alas they haven't. Fleming has speed, quickness, incredible soft touch with the ball at her feet and vision galore to see the play develop. I see her playing for PSG in France and being the center piece of their midfield for the next 10 years after she graduates from UCLA.

Dias Benes She’s lost possession to players such as Julie Ertz, Sam Mewis, Megan Rapinoe, and Lyn Williams multiple times, and you call her the “hiGhLiGhT oF tHe MaTch”. Lmao I’m sorry to burst your bubble, but Fleming is nearly a pin on the pitch. She’s been beaten to the ball by Alex Morgan countless times, and has been literally physically bulldozed by Julie Ertz and others. She’s draws unnecessary fouls due to the fact that she can’t time a slide tackle right, and she never knows when is the right time to release the ball.

Dias Benes check out these highlights, where Fleming was absolutely demolished due to the fact that she isnt* the best midfielder. 1:02 2:14 2:22 3:38 4:36 4:13 5:00 5:52 And you keep saying the US never finds player with such “tALeNt” as Fleming, yet Fleming is over here flopping left and right because of Julie Ertz, Alex Morgan, Sam Mewis, and Lyn Williams. Have you seen Colaprico? Ashley Sanchez? Hailee Mace? They all are American soccer players whom are Fleming’s age, yet they are 3x the player and skill that Fleming is. The USA have found hundreds of kids like Fleming, and better than Fleming. The real highlight of this game would probably have to be Julie Ertz, since she resigned over the midfield, and Fleming lost every battle to Ertz.

Dias Benes and she’s terrible at slide tackling, at 3:36 she’s being shoulder checked by Morgan who is just being aggressive, and Fleming tries to perform a slide, but she slide tackles Morgan’s legs before she even hits the ball which should be an automatic yellow, and it did result in a foul.

I’m that Russian lmao why you commenting everywhere trying to discredit Fleming. Every single player you named has committed unnecessary fouls and lost possession of the ball. And she’s way younger than every player you named. Just imagine her when she gets older, she’s gonna be a superstar :)

Loved to see the GPS stats on Jessie in these games. She covers a lot of ground. She was an outstanding middle distance runner as a teen.

But Alex Morgan is at a higher level of talent than Jessie. And at 3:38 Alex Morgan was being aggressive (which is good) and Jessie went in with a tackle that took Alex’s legs first (which is an obvious foul). Jesse Fleming is indeed a great player, but not as aggressive and skillful as Alex Morgan and Julie Ertz, also Rapinoe.

@@annabelvoh that was two years ago ma’am I obviously was shit lmao but I honestly think (now) Fleming is better than Long, she’s more solid in versatility than Ally is. But Fleming still has ways to go. She clearly won’t be a magician like Horan or Macario, or a literal bulldozer like Ertz, but Fleming has versatility and an amazing ability at playmaking. She makes a presence and IMO one of the great rising midfielders!

If you compare Jessie to Alex Morgan, Julie Ertz, Megan Rapinoe, Kelley O’Hara, and Sam Mewis, she isn’t as good and aggressive as the USA players I mentioned. Check out these clips where Fleming got beat to the ball by aggression tons of times by players such as Alex Morgan. 1:02 2:14 2:22 3:38 4:36 4:13 5:00 5:52 Jesse Fleming practically got crushed by Alex Morgan, Julie Ertz, Sam Mewis, and Megan Rapinoe, who have more aggression and talent. Jessie is a very good player, but just gets pushed around a lot. Also at 7:35 Dalkhamper (USA no. 7) pretty much smashed Jessie with that slide tackle. And at 7:57 where Lynn Williams basically laid her flat on the ground because Lynn has more aggression. Aggression gets you further in physical sports, and Fleming is going to need more aggressive moves than one slide tackle if she wants to be as good as Alex and the other uswnt players. Overall in comparison Fleming isn’t as good as uswnt members such as Alex Morgan, Kelley O’Hara, Julie Ertz, Lindsay Horan, Sam Mewis, Megan Rapinoe, Abby Dalkahmper, Becky Sauerbrunn, Megan Klingenberg, Lynn Williams, etc. I Like Ashley Sanchez, a native Californian who carries more aggression and speed with the ball than Fleming.

Ashley Sanchez is great, but I’d honestly take Fleming over Sanchez any day. Idk I just appreciate touch and poise more than speed and aggression. I feel like Americans focus on using their body to your advantage too much. Sure they’re an incredible team with just as incredible feats but if other countries invested as much money into soccer as the USA, trust me, those countries would have an incredible chance at being as amazing as the American team.

lmao every single player on the US team that you just named is at least 5 years older than Fleming. That means 5 extra years of game experience. Give her time to move up with experience, she will easily replace Sincy now.

@@Jojo-hy8dm But every single player I named was far more impactful, technical, physical, and all around a better player than Fleming at her age. Take a look at Macario, go back and watch the Women’s Stanford vs UCLA games and at how Macario absolutely dominated the midfield and dictated the tempo. Fleming’s prescience wasn’t marked in any of those games, she was simply overshadowed by Macario.

😂😂 Did you watch the video or did you just read the description? In this game, she was the best midfielder outta of everyone including us players. She's an up and coming talent with great technical skills, so I don't know how you can call her "unskilled". The Canadian WNT has gotten so much better in these last couple of years compared to their rigid, scrappy, and long-ball type of play they used to have so no none of them are "unskilled."

Fleming is a rising star, for sure, and only 19. Controlled the midfield very well against a mature US side in Game 1 - definitely had a lot more trouble in Game 2. Looked like the US had a better strategy to contain her and Press is much better at pressuring than Williams. I liked Fleming's tackling in Game 1 - seemed to disrupt Horan and Mewis, they had a hard time getting any rhythm. She was much less aggressive (and effective) in Game 2. This Canada squad is young, promises to be a good rivalry going forward.

21stcenturyenigma No she wasn't offered a pro contract, but I'm sure any team would be happy to sign her. She has stated that she wants to finish college. Just because Pugh is in the NWSL doesn't make her a better player.
