No! Glennis Grace is the closest. She will be performing on America's got talent this coming september 4 or 11 the semi-finals. Watch GG's singing that song on youtubre and i am sure you will shock 😊
@@vivarose1252 that is ur opinion .. not of the millions of us that have heard Jessie J singing this song. Sorry but for you Glennus is the best not for us. I agree Glennis is an excellent vocalist but they are different. I am not saying Jessie is better than her they are just different
@@pwpg06 That is your opinion too. And for us Glennis is goed. Watch her new Whitney tributes last October 5 & 7 2018 and listen how Glennis sang the songs You're still my man and HOME and may more 28 songs, because she really sang those songs perfectly. This man said no one did this song better but only Jessie. But when he did the reaction of Glennis then he was shocked and said no one did this song better but only Glennis. Only Glennis can sing this song like Whitney hahaha that is what he said 😀
@@vivarose1252 well as I said that is your opinion... He did not say that she sang this song like Whitney, after all Jessie J is Jessie J.. It wouldn't be good to be out there singing like someone else if you truly want to succeed as a singer. So just because someone can imitate Whitney that doesn't make her a better singer.
@@pwpg06 Hello, I did not say that he said Jessie sang like Whitney. He said to his reaction to Glennis viideo that only Glennis has the closest voice to Whitney and only Glennis can sing like Whitney. Watch his reaction to Glennis video so you will know.
Whitney was the reason Jessie started singing, she has a vid on her insta of her as a 4 year old listening to this song. The day she was due to finally meet Whitney, she passed away, and they were staying in the same hotel. So sad ❤️
@Maurice van Egeraat You know what? I never see any of Jessie's heartbeats on Glennis videos criticizing her and saying that Jessie J is better than her... why you guys behave like that?
This is the best live performance of this song ever. It is the closest to the Whitney Houston recording, even Whitney never came this close live, to the original studio recording.
The best performance, that is quite debatable. The Voice thought that Glennis Grace gave the best tribute. Out of sight out of mind I should say. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_4ayjdM5HrI.html
Omg you’re back! We missed you! 😃 This was one of her finale performances, other was Bang Bang with Coco Lee and KZ. A BILLION people watched the finale live, that’s insane! She also sang Reflection before that. Last episode which was a farewell episode she sang I’ll Be There with Luke James, I don’t know if it matters, probably not but it was more fun for me watching that performance knowing they are ex’s because they have great chemistry together =D
Omg this is so much better than that version Charice did. Jessie J actually sounds like herself rather than just trying to copy Whitney, which is what everyone ALWAYS fails when they try to do this song.
Finally! Where were you man, I've been waiting for your reactions since forever! Would you please react to her performances of Reflection and I'll Be There (she sang this with her ex-boyfriend so the lyrics are kinda interesting) and maybe her new song Queen acoustic version? They recorded it in one take, and she is awesome (and the pianist is awesome) Thank you!
Anyone who has tried to sing this song understands the difficulty of the beginning. It requires so much control in that it’s soft airy while retaining a rich tone. The first “And I...eeeii” part is so hard because you start off soft and gradually get louder and more metallic. Jesse covered this phenomenally. I’m glad she didn’t ‘make it her own,’ and slaughter this song like others. She respected it by keeping the gist of it while adding small moments of her. The only part I feel that everyone falls short on is the second chorus at the B4 belt. For some reason, I’ve heard no one top the richness in tone of Whitney’s belt there. Also, Whitney’s vibrato is really hard to achieve for that note.
YEA!!!!!!!!!!!! TRULY. I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR YOUR REACTION TO JESSIE J SINGING "I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU!" And she SANG it! I was praying that all was well with you because it took you so long to react and you have followed her journey on The Singer. YES!!! SHE WON AND SHE DESERVED TO WIN 2018. SHE BROUGHT IT EVERY WEEK AND SURPASSED all my expectation. I am sooooooooooo proud of Jessie J. I'm the one who really only listens to gospel, worship, praise music and singing competitions. That is how I came to know about Jessie J. I also have watched the back drop to her performances and listened to some of her interviews. I've watched some of her live performances, music, and live instagram messages to her fans and how she encourages them and gives them words of wisdom. I have found her to be an incredible person as well: humble, kind, sensitive, giving, caring and unselfish. She was so emotional on the song, especially at the end, when tears welled up in her eyes. She had to take deep breaths several times to maintain composure and not break down crying. Jessie J has never been as welcomed, embraced, respected, and loved by the masses as she has on The Singer. She has been treated so kindly in China. From what I can see, including rrecent reactions from people who had their favorites, Jessie J continues to be underrated, underappreciated, and under-recognized for the iconic vocalist she is. There seems to be a pattern of Jessie J being bashed, harshly critiqued, and beaten upon by people through their comments. It broke my heart. I hope she stayed off social media. She also did Bang Bang (it was not ranked/judged). It went viral and this epic performance was given little notice. IT WON HER THE COMPETITION!!!! She is so humble and loyal to her friends. She and KZ became friends on the show. Although she was eliminated, she invited KZ to be a surprise guest on the song. She invited her friend Coco Lee, who won in 2016 . She pushed both to the front and gave them as much of the spotlight as she could knowing that it would be see worldwide. An incredible 1 Billion people tuned in. She also invited her ex, who remains one of her best friends, Luke James to do a farewell duet with her after the win. That's just the kind of person she is. SORRY THIS IS SO LONG. THE PERFORMANCE..... What makes this performance so incredible is that is is LIVE!!! No retakes, no studio dubbing, no auto tune, no voice enhancement. Just Jessie J's incredible vocal!!!! Even Whitney's version was done in the studio. Jessie J was so close to tears at the end and I find it amazing that she was able to sing at all with that lump in her throat. She had to fight at the end to hold onto her composure. She nailed it. I agree that she has a perfect ear and knows where to make minor changes to ensure the best Jessie J performance. She loved Whitney. She said she never wanted to sing it until she felt she was ready and could do justice. Whitney is the reason she began to sing. She was the first singer she heard/watched on tv when she was about 3 or 4 that made her listen and fall in love with singing. So thanks again for your comments. They were spot on and I thoroughly enjoyed watching your reaction and hearing your impression. I totally agree. Incredible. You have a tremendous ear and love for music and vocal acuity. I really missed you. I needed to hear someone speak truth and bring substance to the reaction. Thanks again Blessings Chai-Yehovah (pronounced hi-ee-uh)
Been waiting for this! Love your reactions. Totally agreed - best cover, so clean and precise. If you get time, react to "Reflection" ,it's also perfection.
Yessss!!! Al fin!!!! No me pierdo ningún video de Jessie. Porfavor Reaction to : Jessie J - Bang bang, the singer and I´ll be there !!!!! Now Now Now Now Now!!!! Thanks for react.
She was holding back tears during this final performance . She had developed such a relationship with the people , I think she just wanted to stay . I know you sing so you can understand what happens when you sing while trying not to cry, you tend to go flat at times, With that she stayed true to the original artist here out of love and respect . It was Whitney that started her desire to sing in the first place . In that, her performance was perfect and very human !
omg you're back! I don't care why you where gone.. I'm just glad you're back!😁 you got a lot of catching up to do lol.. no but seriously I hope everything is good with you...so happy
Your Sweet ! Your love for Whitney and all these great voices! Just discovered your chanel! You do such a great job! Thumbs up!..... and I want a reaction to Whitney's I learned from the best ( Live in Mannheim, Germany ) .... pleeeeeaaaase :-)
This is one of her performances ( the other performance is BANG BANG) on the finale night. She won the whole show with these two performances. She is the first non-Chinese decent singer who won the show. I hope she open the door so we can see more international singers on the show and Singer show can be watched by more people in the world.
You also need missed jessie j performing reflection, I've been wanting to hear your thoughts on it since I've watched it. I thought it was perhaps one of her best.
I love the fact that she made it her own and sang it in her own unique style not trying to copy or imitate Whitney. I've noticed that a lot of singers tend to put too much effort into this song, adding runs and adlibs where it isn't necessary for dramatic effect or over singing to compensate for using bad technique whilst technique is still really important you shouldn't have to make the song more complex when it already is. Simplicity is always best while connecting emotionally just exactly what Jessie did here where I felt like I believed every word she said it was a very sincere, strong and bold performance.
I'm not agree with you. For me the best tribute you can give to a singer (Whitney) is to stay close as possible to the original and the feel of the song as Whitney intended.
@@michaelsteel8059 i mean go listen to Whitney’s version if you want it to be exactly like hers. As a matter of fact, go listen to Dolly’s version since its her song and you want it to be authentic to the original. 🤷♂️
Hello, it is nice to see your reactions again. Your reaction to Jessie was very nice, thank you. Can I ask that you please react to Dimash singing Hello (Lionel's song) ... on The Singer 2018 Celebration Show or Episode 14???
U should check out her performance with Luke James, and maybe react to her music video with Robin Thicke?👀 You'll enjoy the throwback feel to the video and song
Omg where the fuck have you been?!?! Anyway glad you're back and dimash also performed on this final show so you should check that out him covering Lionel Richie hello.
Thank you - love Jessie J. So gad to see you back - seems forever!! l Would you react to Dimash from Singer 2018 - please. He was invited as a special guest to ep 14 (they do it for charity) and he sang Lionel Richies Hello - it really impressed Jessie J too - had one of her people record it on their phone!! Link for Hello - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nmyWxEm0xLk.html. It has been a very long time since you reacted to Dimash - you have missed a lot!!
I can't think of another live performance this good, as far as "I will always love You" goes. Even Whitney wouldn't get the live performances all the way. Jessie studied up on this and even nailed Whitney's classic fast vibrato. Excellent.
