I was a teen mom, myself, and became a grandma at 37! I completely see what you’re seeing. Her children have her game completely figured out and treat her like the joke she’s turned herself into. They don’t respect her. My son never would have dreamt of being dismissive like that to me. He’s 30 now and still wouldn’t. If the grandkid, whose 11, forgets himself, he gets a stern reminder. My son was married when I became a grandma, he was 20. The way Jess is going, she might wanna prepare herself to become a grandma even earlier than I became one and under the same circumstances she did. She’s doing nothing to break cycles, but reinforce them. She’s clearly not open to learning from mistakes or being told she can do better. The fact those children don’t respect her means they also won’t respect themselves. Children build their own base and foundation from their same-sex parent, especially. Then, the boys of the family see they don’t need to respect their own mother, and yikes! These children aren’t being set up for anything good, and neither is anyone that crosses their paths.

If they go on independent study they get school work to do during the absence and the kid gets credit as if they were at school. I’m assuming that’s how they’re not getting in trouble.

Our schools in Texas count absences regardless of excused or unexcused against the kids for truancy. It’s crazy, I miss the days when doctors notes made the absence not count. We’ve been hammered hard this year with sickness so I’m treading carefully

I literally only missed school once for vacation but I also have gone on vacation less than 10 times in my life

I’ve taken my daughter out of school for vacation a couple times. I’m a 100% single parent - zero support or even phone calls from her dad in 8 years. The off seasons are the only times we can afford to go. I think occasionally taking a couple days off to have an experience they otherwise would never have is worth it. But that is clearly not the case here - they have tons of money and it’s just them being careless.

The school they attend is public. There are plenty of Montessori schools in her area that are not private.

There are laws in the US too. But private schools tend to be more lenient.

Same in England parents have to get permission from head teacher or governors

Same in WV. We have very strict guidelines regarding school attendance in West Virginia.

Here in the UK we cant take our children out of school for holidays or weddings we get fines ..Both parents.. The UK are very very strict when it comes to schooling...

@@demi3329 the circusoffive family are straight up disturbing. their middle child has a unique very energetic personality so they call her "it" and "a creature"but I guess that is ok if they say its a joke? I just watched a video of that child coming home from school upset cause she felt bullied by other kids and the mother filming her, laughing and calling her "it" again just making a whole "funny" video out of the ordeal. it was one of the most strange examples of narc parenting I have ever seen honestly.

Also she made a point to put “12 years old” in the thumbnail and the title like for some reason that confirms to me she knows what attention she’s attracting on purpose. “Look at my daughter with her leg up and she’s TWELVE guys….for those of you who like the number 12….just saying 😉”

Same here. I've lived my entire life in California. The area I've lived in luckily wasn't hit as hard, but there were still areas that got flooded out and people who lost a lot due to that.

@@crystalkathuria4381 well I didn’t mean it like that they wouldn’t let her go. But some schools make you do the work you’ll miss while on vacation and they didn’t make her do that. I guess that’s what I meant. And some truancy stuff can also be difficult to deal with too.

Exactly. Few years ago my kids got sick so much (it was a sick buggy year for a lot of kids) and I never in my life took them to be seen just to get that doctors note. I followed school protocols for them being sick, etc. And the school still threatened to have DCS at my door. I was like wtf! Despite my kids being so sick, their grades never went down and they stayed caught up. So I'm always wondering how can she do this as often as she does? Sure kids need memories...but at what cost? And I won't lie, as I'm struggling to survive, I can't but envy the fact she has this nice house and doesn't have to worry about cost of food and takes all these trips. Oh well

Where I’m from the parents will be held accountable for children to attending school. If they miss a certain amount of time with in the school year they automatically have to repeat the grade or summer school. Parents will be warned, then fined and possibly jailed.

@Deana Durand truancy, my 17 year old skipped a few days I didn't know about(can only have 10 non excuse missed days). Now. I have to go to court because he missed 11 days
