I think it’s important to note that “Apocrypha” is a dangerous term when talking across denominations. What books are contained inside the Apocrypha depend on the Church you belong too. Most Christians agree on the significant majority of the books in the “apocrypha” being “apocryphal”. However, you seem to be citing from the disputed 7 books that are the subject of debate among Roman Catholics and Protestants. These 7 books, along with a few chapters of Daniel and Esther, could be more faithfully called “deuterocanonical” (or at least clarified). As, when discussing the Apocrypha, it can include anything from Enoch to the Gospel of Thomas.

I just found you a couple of days ago...and i see you have trouble "selling" for lack of a better word the apocrypha...i left a comment on one of your videos concerning Ivan Panin, and the use of his findings to vet parts of the apocrypha...to me this seems to be the best way to show the writing of God..panin found, for example , that when ever a messenger of the lord spoke, it was a new sub-set of 7s this may continue in the apocrypha..also i would ve very curious to know the gematra values of the hebrew....this i believe would greatly help yoyr cause, that i find to be a righteous one...and at the risk of sounding arrogant, i must tell you, that I have found ,in the scriptures and in nature, the mathematical equation that God used for creation...from the first number he divided- to form all the forces of nature- sound , light, gravity, and even time itself.. this i am offering to show you- if you are interested...

So, we’re meant to believe that Jesus - the Word of God in the flesh - took inspiration from a book no Jew considered inspired enough to ever include in the Hebrew Old Testament and no New Testament writer referred to, let alone quoted from? A book containing several very obvious historical errors, as well as teaching that almsgiving will save you from death. One would have thought the living Word of God would have known what was and was not inspired Scripture.

Thank you so much! I appreciate you. It's understandable that you question the source of Jesus' teachings in Matthew 6, especially considering the significance we place on canonical texts. Believe it or not it happens several more times in His discourse. I will point them out in the coming weeks. However, it's essential to recognize that Jesus often drew on other sources even those that we are not aware of to convey His message, including oral tradition and writings of his time. While the Apocrypha may not be included in the Hebrew Old Testament, it doesn't discount the that Jesus found wisdom in its teachings. This is made apparent in this Matthew 6 to Tobit 12:8 comparison.

@@gclmediaYou’re claiming Jesus, God incarnate, used as inspiration for His message texts that were never considered to be inspired; they were never in the Hebrew Old Testament and no New Testament writer refers to or quotes from it but Jesus was inspired by them? You’re talking about God incarnate.

@@MisterN0b0dy it would “not” be the first belief that Jesus chose to debunk! And it surely is the first correction that Jesus made either! Thats what Jesus did, He challenged the status quo saying things like, ”You have heard but I say unto you…” (His words, not mine).

@@gclmediaWith respect, that doesn’t go anywhere near to answering my concern. By definition of Jesus being God, everything Jesus uttered was “God breathed” and therefore divinely inspired. Thus, anything He quoted from the Apocrypha would have been divinely inspired. And yet there is NOTHING to suggest any writer of the NT regarded ANY part of the Apocrypha as inspired Scripture.

Watch on. He keeps giving one verse at a time. You might find the oral traditions you're relying on do not reflect the reality. A very in your face example is Jude 14-15 quoting I Enoch 1.9 as a prophecy. All prophecy from God, without exception, is inspired. In Mt 22.29-30, Jesus chastises them for not knowing the Scriptures then asserts angels do not marry. This is not in the OT. The Scripture he refers to is I Enoch 15. In this video he's shown that Jesus orders the entire center of the Sermon on the Mount around Tobit 12.8-9. It is the only other text before this that has those elements all together, and Jesus even follows the order of importance in it. Jesus made plain what he was doing when he said he came to fulfill the Law and the prophets, which was a rabbinic idiom for properly interpreting or applying the Law and prophets. This won't be the last. Since he's on the Sermon on the Mount, look for Jesus' usage of Ecclesiasticus soon. Examples are going to keep building up. At some point you have to judge your traditions by the NT. I know this won't be enough, simply keep watching and keep a tally. Don't cite oral traditions like "no Jew ever believed these to be Scripture," because that's all that is: an oral tradition. If the NT does use these books as Scripture, and you cite that oral tradition, then you void the Word of God by your traditions and teach as commandments of God the teachings of men.
