The funny thing is that where I live most protestant churches actually think catholics take communion way too lightly. All reformed churches believe in the real presence of the eucharist (at least they should), but a lot of them are convinced you should only take communion if you're "truly saved". This means maybe 5-10% of a congregation will actually take part in the celebration none of which are kids.

The US is not a Catholic nation, but it has "separation of church and state". To play devil's advocate, there is a valid point to this story. For too long the secrecy of confession has been exploited as a way to "protect" pedophile priests. However, as I mentioned earlier, will the same principle be held toward imams? Jesus Christ is The Word Made Flesh. Christ is both God and Man and He transcends time ands space. He is made present upon our Catholic Altars through Theandric Action. Jesus CANNOT stop being Himself. When He broke the unleavened bread, each and every piece to the largest to the smallest contains the WHOLE CHRIST. The Eucharist is Sacred because it is God. The accidents of the bread and wine remain the same to OUR SENSES. The Eucharist still Looks and tastes like bread and wine, but ithe elements/accidents remain. Those elements are TRANSUBSTANTIATED or miraculously changed by the power of the Holy Spirit. Jesus changed water into wine. He multiplied the loaves and the fish. These miracles were given as signs for the Gift of Himself in HOLY Communion. Those miracles were precursors to The MOST BLESSED SACRAMENT, i.e. Jesus in HOLY COMMUNION. Jesus changed the bread and wine into HIMSELF. He gave this power to His Apostles or the first ordained bishops. Bethlehem means, House of Bread. Jesus was placed in a manger a receptacle for food given to animals. This was all prefigured by God. Does a mirror cease become a mirror if it becomes shattered and broken? No, even the smallest piece is still a mirror able to reflect light or an image. Christ is present in Heaven. Christ is present in our tabernacle. Christ is present in our hearts and souls as long as we are in a State of Grace.

Catholics enter into Calvary we do not repeat it. This is because Jesus can transcend time and space . The Eucharistic sacrifice is the mass and soon it will be taken away from the prince which is Jesus Christ. The liberal Bishops and Cardinals who insist on giving communion to Protestants are promoting sacrilege under the guise of Mercy. Those erring clergy are changing the INTENT on who can receive COMMUNION. Catholic communion is intended for Catholic in Union with holy mother Church who recognize all of her dogmas teachings and beliefs especially the belief in transubstantiation The erring clergy are not protecting Christ's Supernatural Integrity within the Eucharist. We know from Sister Lucia memoirs that in the latter days oh, that's a true Mass would become suppressed. We also know that the Dogma faith will always be preserved in Portugal. We know that dogma faith to be the Eucharist. Catholics are reading this response need to remember to pray the rosary and emulate the virtues contained within each Mystery. We need to transform ourselves before we can transform the world. We also need to defend Christ Supernatural Integrity in The Most Blessed Sacrament. All other religious denominations are MANMADE and false. There are over 40K Christian Denominations all believing slightly different things. DO NOT BE FOOLED. Catholicism has the Four Marks of the one TRUE FAITH. WE are ONE, in our beliefs and ritual. We are HOLY, because we were founded by Christ. We are CATHOLIC or universal. Our faith is the SAME worldwide and our faith is for everyone. We are APOSTOLIC. We trace our Sacred Traditions back to the apostles and Jesus Christ. No other Christian Denomination can MAKE that claim. Like three legs of a stool we have SACRED TRADITON, SACRED SCRIPTUE and the MAGISTERIUM or Teaching Authority of the Church to SUPPORT our FAITH and Beliefs. We know that Jesus is PRESENT in the Eucharist because He told us so in the Gospel of St. John. Protestants believe differently because they lack SUPERNATURAL FAITH. They PICK and CHOOSE what to believe. The HOLY SPIRIT and TRUTH are ONE. NOT EVERYONE CAN BE CORRECT. Catholics have the FULNESS of FAITH. Protestants are in error. Pray for them. Pray for the clergy who no longer believe in the supernatural faith. Do not abandon Christ in The Most Blessed Sacrament. Ignore those who scoff at our beliefs. Pray for them! The Catholic Church produced and preserved the Bible. Protestants stole it and rewrote passages to suit their own falsehoods and beliefs.

Yes, you just affirmed that just as the Catholic Church teaches, that there is only one Christ and that he gave one single sacrifice that was sufficient for the forgiveness of all sins. Christ isn't sacrificed again on Catholic altars, rather the congregation is connected through space and time to Christ's sacrifice at Calvary 2000 years ago. And the bread and Jesus were both one Jesus when Christ first performed the Eucharist, not two seperate Jesuses. If you claim that these things cannot be done through the power of Christ, you either deny that Christ is God or you deny that God is omnipotent.

GOD provided "Spiritual Food and Drink" (1 Corinthians 10:1-4) to His old covenant people, so wouldn't Jesus Christ provide something for His NEW COVENANT people??? Jesus Christ compares Himself to the old covenant "Heavenly Manna" in John 6:31-35. Jesus teaches the "Heavenly Manna" that came down "daily" will now be Him (John 6:51-58). In the "Our Father" prayer Jesus Christ is stating "give us THIS DAY OUR DAILY BREAD" referring to Himself. Obviously, no normal bread bread being spoken of here, but the "Bread of LIFE" Jesus repeats about Himself three times in John 6 (6:35,48,51) Acts 2:46. The Catholic Church has been "breaking bread (of LIFE) daily" of the NEW COVENANT PASSOVER (Luke 22:19) before the Book of Acts was even written in the mid 60's AD, all along since Jesus Christ's death in 33AD, and to this very day fulfilling Malachi 1:11 prophecy all across the world "daily"!!!

Bruce G. We don't worship Mary. We don't worship the pope. Catholic Church is not a "conglomerate". It is the One True Church founded by Jesus 2,000 years ago. It is the One Church who brought to you the Bible. We defended the Sacred Scriptures throughout the centuries and the millennia. We copied the Sacred Scripture from generation to generation in our convents and monasteries. We preserved the Word of God, we gave our lives to preserve the Sacred Word of God. There are THOUSANDS of manuscripts about Jesus. The Catholic Church chose only few of them. The authority of the Church, Bishops and Popes, decided which manuscripts were the Word of God. If you don't believe the Catholic Church, you can neither believe our New Testament. Please, just study history. If the Church is false, then also the Bible is false. Jesus didn't write anything. There was only One Church 2,000 years ago. After about 50 - 70 years the New Testament was written. And many other documents were written, but the Church accepted only 4 evangelists and some letters, as you know. Please make serious study about this point.

Jesus spoke Aramaic and read the Torah in Hebrew. In the Catholic Church, from the beginning, we've always had scholars of Hebrew (for the Old Testament) and scholars of Greek (for the New Testaments). The early Fathers of the Church were Jewish and Gentiles. We received teachings from them from the very beginning of Christianity. Our roots are in Jerusalem.
