I testify truly to you all. I've been suffering through the last bit of Lent, especially during Holy Week, due to past mistakes. I prayed that Christ would raise me when He rose. I work nights and all Saturday night I was sorrowful. But on the way to Easter mass I recieved inexplicable joy. I knew Christ had risen! He transformed me and he did not leave me. I am and will continue to suffer, but know He is with you. He will see you through!

7:58 I'm so glad Christ gave me the grace to push through suffering. I'm so much more full with Christ. 8:50 I know exactly what he's talking about. God's grace gives you light, even when you know it'll be dark again.

No Camilo, you just took what he said and turn it into legalism! You can confess your sin all you want (and I'm sure you'll say "once is enough") but letting GOD enter into the darkest parts of yourself and endure the pain of purification (which can last for a while) its something completly different... I guess you only know the difference when you have gone through both! I guess a lot of people just quickly confess to happily forget, but avoid the real pain of standing before GOD carring your sin. Again, I guess you only know the difference when you have gone through both!

@@joseseserda sacraments have nothing to do with legalism. It's the Grace of God acting on us. And it's my own personal experience that frequent confession and communion are tremendously effective to overcome this sin

Lovely, and so true! Every morning, no matter my circumstances or how I feel, I look outside and declare to my own soul before God: "This is the day that the Lord has made; I will rejoice and be glad in it..." (Psalm 118:24)..."for the joy of the Lord is my strength..." (Nehemiah 8:10). There is an abiding joy we can always have in Christ, even in our sufferings.

I would go so far as to say even the distortion itself is meaningless and not creative. It’s a random smearing that should not have attention payed to it.
