I wanted to get the point across that Herodotus was specifically referring to the coastal regions of Southern Israel occupied by the Philistines when he called the land Palestine and that up until Hadrian renamed the province from Judea to Syria-Palestine it was not called by that name and certainly not during the period that Jesus was preaching in Galilee. Galileans would not have referred to themselves as Palestinians or as living in Palestine.

I belive that there is a distinction between the rural ones and urban ones. The urban ones the to have more ICM and trace SSA, probably due to conversions and osmosis. If you remove the outliers of the offical g25 Lebanese shia samples that come from Beirut, it becomes indistinguishable from the Druze Beirut samples.

@@il967 I think that all of the Lebanese groups are close genetically but certainly Lebanese Christians are the most Levantine and are very close to Samaritans who are even more Levantine. Also, Palestinian Christians are very close to Lebanese Christians and Samaritans in the Global25 database in terms of distance in Vahaduo calculator runs.
