Depicting Our Lord in the local ethnicity of the people being evangelised is a perfectly orthodox and time-honoured Christian tradition. We Catholics have been doing it for millennia. I have no issue whatsoever with different communities portraying Jesus as black, Indian, Chinese, etc if it helps them relate to him better. "White Jesus" is not an accurate portrait, but we *always knew* that it wasn't accurate. It just didn't *matter*, because giving a 100% accurate portrait of Our Lord wasn't the point.

It never ceases to amaze me how soo many people have misconstrued the scriptures and made them their own. The truth of the matter is that it does matter what color/nationality he was because when that is identified then you can identify what he looked like and whom he was actually sent to redeem and for whom that sent him. In his own words "I am not sent for but the lost sheep of the house of Israel"(Matthew 15:24). Therefore this tells us that he was sent for a specific people group ONLY. Also he said that he DO NOT pray for the world but he pray for those the God gave him(John 17:9) therefore this tells us that John 3:16 has been totally misunderstood by most people. Christianity tells usbthat the laws are done away with but Jesus condemn those that enforce/say this in Matthew 5:17-19. So with all this being said someone has alot of explaining to do. These scriptures are not for everyone. Enough said.
