So it’s finished and it’s brilliant, it’s stable it starts easy and the fuel system after a slight redesign (see website) works perfectly. Top speed so far is 60mph but i run out of airstrip so might be more in it.

Peter Spexarth He put a heat shield between the jet and the seat. The cart has a very long wheelbase and it's not turning, so I think it should be fine without a helmet.

Nyros To be fair, he probably tested it before recording and used safety equipment then. Once he worked out all the kinks and got it running properly (note the different fuel system on this video compared to the build video), he removed the safety equipment just to make this video.

Almost. The ones used on the V1's had valves and were "conventional" pulse jets. This is a valveless, or Lockwood pulse jet.

riKringkast There's not a chance he was going that fast in the video. I know he wrote that. But I'd be hard pressed to believe he was even doing 30mph. Just look at the structures and planes going by so slowly. And grass and concrete should be a complete blur of colors by 50mph.
