A less traveled route on the St John's River from Lone Cabbage SOUTH to Lake Washington Dam and Lake Washington (Florida) where under normal water conditions the dam blocks the river to jet skis. 48 mile round trip so you are out there in the middle of nowhere so carry the proper self rescue gear! Four Yamaha Waverunners FX (SVHO and HO's) are on this run. We then head north dodging cattle and alligators to do some twisty riding before ending the trip. (this video is about: Bob Broeking, WhiteSpider, Jet Skiing, Jet Ski, Yamaha Waverunners, FX Cruiser, VX Cruiser, Seadoo's, jet skiing on lakes, jet skiing on rivers, jet skiing in the Gulf of Mexico, jet skiing in the Ocean, jet skiing in Natural Springs, how to jet ski in Florida in 2022, adventure Jet Skiing)

I've filled a lot of gator tags in lake Washington. Great video

That is awesome! Would you recommend putting in at Lake Washington and go farther south? I just like to explore boundaries!

@@BobBroeking most definitely!! The St John's gets a little bigger and a little deeper south of lake Washington. When you get close to U.S. 192 there's a lot of really nice airboat trails to explore. It's been a few years since I played around back there but I'm sure not much has changed.

@@BobBroeking when you get to the southern end of Brevard county going into the fellsmere area you'll run into some dams down there but there's some really nice water between fellsmere and lake Washington.

Hello Bob! What GPS program do you guys use? I have a phone Mount for iPhone and my fish finder is back up. Just gives coordinates. I like the way you can show your route and looks like you have good marine maps with depth and stuff.

Short Answer: Navionics USA and Canada Maps. Longer answer: :-) Brodie.... because I live in complex riding environment featuring lakes, rivers, the Gulf and Ocean and the way I ride (adventure) maps are critical to me. I started out using Navionics App on my Iphone ($25 annual subscription), then when I purchased a chartplotter so I could also measure water depth with a transducer (the last critical piece of the pie for me) I stayed with navionics USA and Canada maps. I could never go back. I still keep my $25 annual iphone app subscription as a back up. I usedto keep my iphone in the cockpit in a mount and it worked well. The chartplotter of course works best and allows me to keep my phone in the glove box where it probably belongs in a waterproof case. This video describes my chartplotter install if you have not seen it: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6kS-LNrCBM8.html If I did not ride in such a complex area, I think my phone with the navionics charts would still suit my needs just fine. They are the exact same maps. Hope this helps and if you have any further questions please just ask. Bob

Why have'nt you taken your ski to the Florida Keys?
@BobBroeking
@BobBroeking 2 года назад
It is on my list to do; taking your jet ski to the keys is not as easy as it sounds... you need haul it quite a way, through and around Miami if you live in central Florida and find a hotel where it will be safe and a location that you can launch it from. Lastly, there are a lot of off limits for skis down there and it makes a better Fall or winter trip after hurricane season or spring time.... short answer... probbaly this fall or next spring before the crowds. I was just out in the ocean off JAX this am... Bob

I know you have gator glide on your hull. Have you noticed any loss of traction or grip. And any speed loss or gain. Thanks.

Hi John… thanks for watching. On the water I notice zero difference in anything as it pertains to speed or maneuverability… cannot tell any difference. The only difference I notice is when I load it on the trailer at the ramp. I now have to keep the engine running on the trailer until I connect the bow strap or it will simply slide right back off the trailer. Same with unloading at the ramp…working on getting this technique down to it as fool proof as before when I did not have to have the engine running… that’s the only difference I notice.
