If you still own can you post a more recent video on it even if your not on the water i would just like to see how nice it is now from 5years ago awesome build forsure im fascinated
The aft deck wood looks awesome. VW should have made boats on the side. The TDI can get up to 500,00 miles if in a car. I wonder how many hours one can get out of this marine engine you created? Lot's of on hand torque you have there. Great job.I'm being influenced now...watch out. Thanks for sharing this project.
do you got a homepage with buildpics and info on this project? i am about ta do the same thing - jet and 1.9tdi what jet are you using? is the ecu modified?
+Ma L No website, some information on a Dutch speed boat forum(snelleboten.nl/viewtopic.php?t=10650). There is no jet drive. It's a mercruiser Stern drive. The only thing changed to the ECU is that the starter blockade is written out.
Seen plenty of these engine fail when crankshaft lower pulley comes loose on crankshaft timing goes out pistons and valves destroyed later ones had fancy bolt dont know about them
+kuskus231 Hi, yes using the Normal cooling circuit of the engine and instead of the radiator a heat exchanger. Same thing for the intercooler. No additional water pump only the one in the sterndrive
How did you solve the starter, i have a Chriscraft Crowne 30, and i have a current fitting problem, where the startmotor would petrude thru the transom ?
I took a starter engine of a different car(i have the number somewhere for you) witch turns the other way round and mounted the starter next to the engine, Took the starter wheel of an automatic gearbox.
Dont really keep track but last two weeks had some afternoons wakeboarden and for like 3 hours of waleboarding and tubing we used 15 liters of diesel. So it's very ok
@@VincentSchipper1985would definitely like to see some more videos on this! Especially how it’s set up. There doesn’t seem to be to many RU-vidrs that are still active with their tdi swapped boats. I’ve been holding onto a tdi hoping to do a boat swap and have been curious what people have done. Turbo, exhaust, drive connections, etc. I was wondering how the exhaust heat was inside the compartment.
@@VetteTsjap stuur mij svp even een mail naar v.s.schipper@gmail.com. Hij is dit jaar geschilderd en technisch 100% in orde dus een koopje is het zeker niet.
