i mean this lizard is quite common in iberian peninsula and they are hardy reptiles, as for the diet they are pretty much opportunistic so have freedom to feed them as you like, there is a subspecies wich is darker and usually larger in the wild called (timon nevadensis)
Hi!! Both of two ocellated lizards are so cool😊 huge head of male one😊 is absolute beauty I’m considering to start keeping this species do you give vegetables to them ? If so when did you start giving those food to young ones?? 😅 So lovely your lizards is 😊
Hello! I don’t feed vegetables but I do offer them fruit once/twice a week. They love blueberries, grapes, strawberries and apple! I started offering them fruit from very early on. As long as you can cut the fruit small enough you can try feeding it to them at any age! Thank you!
@@KkCreatures thank you for replaying to me ☺️ I think I’ll give them fruits like banana !! I can’t wait to start keeping lizards 😆 Have a nice day 🙇♂️
I’m curious idk if you said this in the video but what size terrarium do you have? And 4x2x2 120 gallon or something else? I’m curious because I wanna try to Cohab myself
Thank you very much! Ik it’s controversial to some to cohab lacertas but I’ll have a backup plan if necessary if things get hairy! I eventually maybe wanna breed them I just wanna know how often it’s done and to see if there’s a chance I could!
Saphira is the name of my female jeweled lacerta. The name is from a book series I love called Eragon. Saphira is the name of the dragon in those books Hope this answers your question!
