Judge saw right through the defendant's opportunist ways

What a crappy "friend". Defendant acted all sweet, smiley and confused in the beginning and then looked sharp as a tact at the end when the verdict was read.

The "well ain't that some shit" expression on the defendants face as she heard the verdict was priceless!😂

So, she took advantage of a friendship of 40 years and her first, ever, customer? Is that friendship?

I LOVE how the plaintiff gave a legally compelling reason why the defendant shouldn’t receive the $2000 at all. JMM hadn’t thought of that reason herself and had to agree. The plaintiff might be a pushover, but she was super-sharp on that point!

The Plaintiff should not be in business with ANYONE. She agrees to 50/50, even though she had a lot of overhead and the Defendant had none. Then she agreed to 10% of future sales, until 2k is reached(for the Defendant). The Plaintiff was completely taken advantage of and she knew it wasn't quite right, but didn't do a thing about it. The Defendant really took advantage of the Plaintiff.

If she hadn't gotten so greedy, the defendant would've gotten her 2,000 dollars. However, she then demanded a change of the deal, the exact same day I think the plaintiff said, she demanded more money that wasn't previously agreed to, and then she held the jewelry hostage.

The defendant got greedy for an extra $100 but instead now ends up with a cancelled agreement and therefore no future benefits of any sort, ha ha ha...

This was a really good case legally. The judge actually let them respond back n forth without interruption. At the end neither can say they didn't get their point across or present all their evidence. Great case

The defendant is a talented lady, but her business acumen is lacking. Which is surprising because she is obviously very intelligent. The reasoning she came up with at the end was brilliant. She was waaay ahead of the judge. She also comes across as a very nice person. The defendant lost an incredible relationship. She was so greedy. I mean it's good to come to a good agreement in business, but she wanted EVERYTHING!

Greed is just greed be it a politician, business man/woman or a little old lady ! Plaintiff had no obligation to absorb defendants own costs of hiring someone to do her job. Then she tried to extort her by ransoming the merchandise , greed has no age limit!

Justice was not done here. These ladies were selling items illegally! They don't have the trademark rights to sell Chanel items. They received 10 cease and desist letters from Chanel (rightly so). They got booted off Etsy for selling against Chanel's trademark. And their response? Well, we'll just go over to Shopify and set up our own shop. That is utter crap. These women should be on the hook to Chanel for all of their sales (and possibly for criminal charges) for ignoring 10 cease and desist letters. My goodness, the chutspah!

Haha, 'Justice was done' as they totally thumb their nose at Chanel for copyright infringement and TEN (!!!) cease and desist orders. Defendant comes across as one of those friends who's only a friend as long as she's getting something out of it. As soon as it's time to give back or reciprocate it's a problem. That's not a friend, it's a leech.
