Thank you for highlighting this scripture. I wonder what their hierarchy thought? These priests were probably subject to extradition from the Jewish priesthood?

No. Being a priest was an established role based on family and kinship.

Everything to which the priesthood and sacrifices pointed to had come. Once Christ died, rose and ascended, the Old Covenant was made obsolete and the New Covenant was inaugurated, the Spirit had come, so there would be no need for priests anymore 😊

@Kenn-rb7gq Yes, of course. The new covenant in His blood. Worship in spirit and truth. No need for synagogues and Levite priests! AMEN 😃😃

@@davidsalkeld742 Yes Amen!! ( And all the Gentiles rejoiced 😀) But it's an interesting question, what would the unbelieving Saducces etc think of those who who turned to Christ? And what did those priests who came to Christ do? Find other jobs , I would imagine?
