Even conversations with her are so profound! Belonging to no language and yet everyone of them is a privilege that can only be earned by the creatively restless. How beautiful it is to be alive in the same time as her and to be inspired by her genius.

I reading his book "In altre parole" after watching a video interview because I was fascinated and enchanted by what she said, I recommend it to anyone (italian and not), the only drawback is that (if possible) the fascination has increased even more (this woman is irresistible).

Mrs Lahiri is expressive and in the process consistently introspective about her feelings - and she compares her headlong yet hesitant dive into Italy and Italian or perhaps Italian and Italy, to sailors who would gladly shun land, that she denotes as earth, to go unto the sea. And Paul Holdengraber's unsheathing at the beginning of the talk, of the sentiments of the noted historian Tony Judd seeking to learn Czech at the peak of his mid-life crisis, really makes the author defiant, if that is the word, and she proceeds quite vigourously to elaborate on the circumstances that drove her to Florence -when she had her mid-career exigency - and where she proceeded to set up home.

Not everything is a crisis. Life is a journey and much of it involves self-discovery if you are intellectual minded.

Fantastic woman fantastic writer artist above clouds above and deep. Only you have to 'international' or 'other(ed)' to be able to understand. Otherwise just laugh sometimes

Wonderful author but self absorbed! I guess unavoidable when you’re so successful. She might have been better off if her success was middling. Good move to stay anonymous by Ferrante. The self is too weak to withstand constant flattery. Lowland was amazing.. I loved Gauri.

Have you listened to the interview? It’s not her success, it’s her not being rooted somewhere, it makes her restless. (To go short)
