She did a great job, but I can still here reluctance to put any blame on your parents. I hope that you both can get to that point. It's hard....it took me a long time, and I am 55. Keep fighting for your voice and peace.❤
@@Net-26you talk about them bringing them up godly, but you don’t address they protected their pedophile son over their own daughters. You give praise to the parents knowing they put their sexual offender son over their daughters and blamed their daughters for the abuse. They put that offender on stage with the Megan Kelly interview. RIGHT beside them. Good parents don’t do that. You should repent because you are on the side of evil.
@@Net-26 how can you possibly say that they didn’t choose Josh over his sisters who he assaulted especially the way he did, they actually let him sit in on the Megan Kelly interview with Jill and Jessa when they talked about what he did to them and the girls were blamed because they made him think “dirty thoughts” . Im guessing you drink the IBLP Koolaid with the rest of them 🤮
Good for you, Jinger..nice to see the sisters supporting each other, and Jeremy and Derick are great guys, boosting your wives and treating them as the equals and partners they are. You and Jill deserve all the accolades your books have been getting! God bless💗🙏
I listened to Jill’s audiobook in two days. I cried a few times. I used to watch the show. The accusations thrown at Jill over raising funds for the mission trip were undeserved. The fact she couldn’t say a thing is heartbreaking. They were suffering true financial distress but had to put on a happy face. I am glad to see these ladies becoming their own women.
@@BickyToya she did address it. I think she wanted the facts to be know without necessarily “shaming” the detractors. Jill seems like a person who doesn’t want to upset anyone. Not calling people out on this subject was likely wise. Just the facts.
Love that even though you took a different angle with your book, you are still supporting Jill being able to share her story. Every kid has a different experience to some extent in their family and each individual can tell their story. I appreciate both of your books and the grace in which you both wrote them!
I commend your public support for Jill and her book. Her book was heartbreaking in many ways. I admire both of you for living your lives independently and for speaking up. You are both good mentors for your younger female siblings.
Jill is brave I listened to the audio book in her own words and was brought to tears... the way the family treats her is really disturbing. I pray for her often ...I'm so glad she found a Christian therapist. I'm so glad she has your support. ❤
Loved Jill's book. I thought it was very well written in a respectful way. What y'all have been through is a lot and so glad you both have told your stories in the way you wanted to on y'all's terms. You both have tremendous courage. God bless y'all and I pray for repentance from some of your family and for a lot of continued healing.
I am so glad you are supporting Jill. I hope someday all of yours and Jill's siblings read her story if only to understand that every human being processes their life experiences (both good and bad) in their own way. I come from a large family and each of us has his or her own story and outlook. Jill is definitely a brave, strong, beautiful woman and so are you Jinger. All the best to you.
Loved Jill’s book!! So happy she found her voice and revealed the truth about all she’s suffered. Lucky for her to get out from under the control of her father with Derrick’s support, unlike the rest of the kids. Walking a tightrope to support a sister while bound to suppress the truth by Jim Bob’s legal shenanigans is how Jinger is still boxed in. Grateful they have both left the cult with their faith in Jesus intact. 😊❤
I was reading Jill’s book and it dawned on me she read the audible and so I switched over to that and was so moved to hear her voice tell her story. Jill is so poetic and genuine . Just loved the book. Loved her truthfulness and fairness . Love her faith and tenderness. . A well told story of love, faith, hurt and healing. Derrick is a lovely husband. Just beauty all around.
I thoroughly enjoyed Jill’s candid and heartfelt book. It’s a shame your Dad took advantage of young innocent children . He was consumed with greed… shame on both parents. The children were employed by the network they should have had accounts set up in their names and direct deposited their share into those accounts. For your dad to say he used the money to raise 19 children and didn’t ask for rent etc from his children is ludicrous . He a smooth talker but it will catch up to him one day
What I am always so impressed with beyond the faith you demonstrate is how really brave you and Jill are. I feel like you can see how God wasted nothing. Everything that may have been meant for harm has been used gor your good. God is faithful.
I've read Jill's book twice and while she has come a long way, I can tell she was definitely holding back but I love to see and hear her growth and I'm rooting for her and Derrick! ❤
Jinger, you and Jill look so relaxed and at peace in your videos. The way you both walked through challenging seasons in your life is really inspiring.
I’m glad you are planning to read Jill’s book. I think she did an awesome job demonstrating there are many truly good people in your family and she’s learning to appreciate people for the positives they offer and while coming to terms with the negatives.
The courage it took for you and your siblings to walk away from a huge aspect of how you were raised to instead live in the power of the gospel is huge in and of itself. I cannot imagine how difficult this process has been for y’all, especially under the scrutiny of the public eye. But the amount of courage that both you and Jill have had to share your stories is inspiring. You both will help so many find the courage to live in the freedom Christ has for them.🖤
Thankful that Jill has at least one sibling supporting her. One sibling NOT afraid of Daddy Duggar. It would be nice to see if any of the brothers support her telling her TRUTH.
I find it very interesting that the sons have all remained silent throughout everything, but mainly after the imprisonment of Josh. That is pretty sad.
I just read Jill’s book, very good read. I’m so proud of her and Derek for telling the truth about the things that happened to them and standing their ground when it was hard. I think only good things are going to come out for your family now that the hidden things and deceptive things have come to the surface. God will bless you all!❤️
I just read Jill's book last week while heading to NY for a cousin's wedding. It was so good I finished it in just a few hours. So thankful you and Jill have found your voices and are now speaking out against false teachings.
Jinger, I discovered fabric glue recently! It's called Sew No More and it's perfect for cuffs and things that don't completely require stitching. I keep a tube in my junk drawer and another tube in my purse. Thought you might like to look into it for yourself. It's a huge time saver, plus it's much easier than trying to see well enough to thread a needle 🪡 😂 Thank you for the video!
@@Kirsten_is_cursed10 maybe if you reread the title as a calendar event instead of a reaction to an event it will make more sense. Maybe I brought different expectations to this video because I had seen the TH interview and recognized it as a puff piece for the media circuit.
I loved both books but Jills book broke my heart. I don’t judge the siblings who for their own reasons feel they can’t speak. I just feel bad for them. Well done ladies.
Loved your interview. Jill's book was powerful. I resonated with quite a lot it, which is why it left me in tears many times. I applaud her, as well as you for sharing your stories.
So happy to see the two of you supporting Jill! Her book was amazing, really well written and a great inspiration for people who have been through similar things.
So impressed by Your book Jinger! I know your book will bring so much healing and glory to God! Loved Jill’s book also Read them back to back. I know your parents are proud of you. They raised 2 intelligent Godly and graceful women. May God continue to bless you and keep you safe.
New York looks so fun. It's definitely on my bucket list. Looks like a lot of walking in though. That could be challenging. Jinger, I love that you are supporting Jill. I just purchased both of your books. Looking forward to reading both of them. Thank you for sharing this video. 💖
Our local library has several copies of Jill’s book. All are currently unavailable with several holds already and about 160 people are on the waiting list. I won’t be surprised if it becomes the number one bestseller!
It's heartbreaking what your dad did to jill and all the children. Trying to get her siblings against her is so dumb and crazy. Sad that he protects josh. If Mt father treated me like that I would be upset. Wearing pants and make adult choices are not dishonoring your parents. Jill is an adult and has every right to live her life the way she sees fit. Parents should support their adult children choices not tear them down. Her book was amazing and it's sad that her own family doesn't have her back.
Nice of you to support Jill publicly. Too bad the rest of your siblings do not act like adults and do the same. Shame on any Duggar that doesn’t soon find their voice and speak up, it is disgusting because their silence only makes the rest of the world believe your family is worshipping a cult and not serving God. How many of the 10 commandments must your parents and brothers break in the name of fame, fortune and protecting a criminal. Shame on them, for what they do to females in the ILBP.
@@dolly6782 that is true, but from a family that professes to be Christian in their beliefs, they sure let the Devil lead them around for their fame and fortune. None of this would have happened if Jim Bob acted like a real man and father; it was his job to provide and protect all his children. He let tv fame corrupt his values and honestly believes his daughters are less important then his sons. Jim Bob disowned his child, maybe Jill wouldn’t have written this book, if Jim Bob didn’t protect Josh from day 1 and paid Jill a fair wage for her starring in Counting On. Jill is fighting back and showing the world Jim Bob is a misogynist and does not respect women, especially if they are victims of the sick teachings of IBLP. Jim Bob is a complete failure not only as a human, man, husband and father.
Your courage inspired her! I love that y’all are still close! Keep being brave! You’re helping to lead people out of legalism and into a true relationship with Christ! 🙌
I've loved watching you come into your own since you got married. It's a beautiful thing to see....especially now that I know what you lived through to get here! ~Heather
I read your book and wept. And I read Jill's book and wept. That was next level. I hope to see a video of you talking about the book when you have read it. And then maybe a music video or two......Jill's book title got the song Count the Cost by David Meece in my head. Yours, a myriad of songs with the word Freedom in it. But, one step at a time. Praying you all through that
Jinger-You and Jill need a new TV show! You’ve worked hard, built a wonderful new platform and you have a wonderful story to share. Wishing you and Jeremy all the best.
Hey Ginger and subscribers. I wanted to put it out there that I’m currently reading your audiobook that I obtained through my local library through the hoopla app for free. Some of your subscribers might have health issues like me, or just prefer to do audiobooks . Looking forward to reading Jill’s book as well . I attended a Institute in basic youth conflicts in 1979 at a large venue with thousands of people. Although the denomination and family I was raised in was a bit legalistic we never fully subscribe to Bill Gothard‘s principles for a living. It is such a blessing that God is using you to speak for many of us who lived by principles that were not biblical, and that you have been able to disentangle yourself from the concepts and practices that are not biblical, especially at such a young age. God bless you as you continue to put out Content that honors God.❤️
I haven’t gotten Jill’s book yet, but I did buy yours and have just started it. Already I feel like I relate to the journey so much- but not from my parents, from the church my husband and I were raising our kids in until April of this year.
Why hasn’t she read Jill’s book yet? It’s been out for a few weeks. It would have been nice if Ginger had read it before being on the Tamaron Hall show.
@@LeahFairfield Interest. She says she supports her sister, so I wondered why she hasn’t read the book when it’s been available. I know she also said she is going to read it.
@@vickyCA1643 she has a life. When she gets around to it, I’m sure she will. The book talks about abuse, so maybe it’s to hard for her right now. You gotta use your head when you’re tempted to ask questions.
Besides the being in New York look at these guys having a normal life, being normal people. If you compare this to one of Jingers creepy "Duggar interviews" from 19kids or even Counting on Jinger has come a long way. She's so normal!! I'm so happy that Jill and Jinger married men who didn't want slaves to boss around. Their Husbands encouraged them to be free to be themselves and do what makes them happy!! Love this and best wishes.
@LeahFairfield is name calling really necessary? I felt a better title would have been something about going back to NYC, which is what it was about. The part in the bookstore was 20 seconds long. The point of the trip was to be on the show again. It was timed with Jill's book release, which gave Jinger the chance to promote her book again.
After reading both books, I believe that you still crave your family's approval so you focused primary on bill Gothard abuse and not your family's abusive ways and jill is just done and she let it fly. I believe one day it will come to you of how much your family was abusive to you.
Ginger I have one question? How was it to wear pants for the first time and your book was so uplifting and I am beyond proud of you and your sisters for making a difference in the world
Sure, just casually read/listen to your family's abuses (both the victims and the perpetrators) on a flight in front of strangers so you can be prepared for a puff piece for the media circuit.
@@aj25055sure, but the clickbait title was literally ABOUT reading the book. And I can say whatever I want! 😊 She went on tv for an interview and she was not prepared for said interview.
Jinger I could never go up in that summit, I believe it was called? As soon as the camera showed out the window I pulled my little phone away to arms length. Then when Jeremy put himself in the lens with the outside I put my hand up to block my view. I could ferl myself wanting to get dizzy. I don't know how anyone could do it 😮
