The first time I heard this song, I cried because I was contemplating suicide. She probably doesn't even know how many lives she saved with song.

This song has me in serious deep thought & prayer. Still trying to figure things out at 36.

I'm a witness God IS a healer. He heard my call. Four years ago, I was broken into a million sharp shards by betrayal and infidelity. Today, I can recall that incident and devastating time but the pain and anguish are gone. God heard me. God healed me. Healed me on every single place that broke and hurt. Thank you, my sweet Lord.

8 years of my loyalty. 8 years of my friendship. 8 years of my support. I wonder where I would be if I had focused on myself or better yet God in those eight years with the same level of passion. The beautiful thing is I have the rest of my life to find out. I asked God to show me what was real and he did. Now it's on me to take charge. Goodbye sir, no more years given to you.

The moment I heard this song I was paralyzed. I felt everything she was saying. Her brutal honesty in these lyrics pierce right through me.

This song inspired me to write this: I am art, with no rules and I define every color, every shape, and every process. I know no boundaries because my creativity is outside of the box. Don't draw me no lines expecting me to color inside of them because I didn't put them there. Lines and boxes are cages to my creative self and imagination. It puts limits on my mind and fear in my heart if I go over. The only boundary that I obey is God's moral code, the only line I will not cross is His light. I'm so grateful to hear this song....My husband of 6 yrs just told me that it's over. He lost his mother in November and we have just fallen apart. I have prayed and cried and struggled to keep up his spirits and help him find a way to heal from what has been taken from him, but it was not enough.....All I have left is memories, and a broken heart. but God continues to heal and I know my God shall restore.

this is a beautiful song... what can we say about hurt? It does not feel good...but if you have any faith in God at all, you must hold on to the promise...That all things work together for your Good. If someone walked out of your life and you are left wounded know, that every day the pain will grow weaker, and you will grow stronger. If someone left...they walk out to make room for something better... Love never changes...we just fall for the false statements that profess love... Love never hurts, it never burns...ultimately, and if it does... it's burning something away that needs to be gone...

Why am I just hearing this for the first time? This is how I am feeling right now.

It's one of those nights that I'm sad but I don't know why I'm sad. I'm just sad. I tried reading the bible but couldn't find the exact verse I needed to read. Then The Lord reminded me that I express myself the best through music. I'm a big Jill Scott fan and although I've heard this song many times, it's not a song I typically choose to listen to. This is my first time hearing this song. Love has left me cold as well and I've been existing in a constant numb state for quite some time now, and as a result, I don't cry. This song is me. This is my first time hearing this song. Abba Father used this song to show me that, He heard my call/cry. I am totally healed from all the broken relationships, hurts, pains of the past. I am FREE because HE healed me from the inside out. My heart is whole and it belongs to him fully, completely and whole heart. I understood this pain so well but I want you to know that He will hear your cry and answer your call. Jesus is the Word, The True Light, The Way, the Light of the world, The Answer, The Call and ALL in ALL. The song lines up the several scriptures but know that Ahayah (I AM) is already there when you call Him. Just be ready to listen and hear Him respond back to you. Read Ps.4:1, Ps 61:1-2, Ps 102:1-2 and Jere 17:14. Read the whole chapters but these are the ones that speak to this song. I AM that I AM really loves you and He cares. This is one of those few songs that's lyrics and performance is so raw, it's hard not to relate or be moved in some way. I've been going through a tough time with health issues and anxiety and just bring afraid of what's going to happen. This song came to mind. I'm not going through any love hurt, but love can also be interpreted: loving someone else, loving yourself, holding onto Gods love and remembering faith at times of uncertainty. Everything happens for a reason, at our darkest times there will be a light.

I am 38 still figuring things out my first love hurt me to the core of my soul and I still love him. When life fight it dont fight fair. Why do some men have to hurt you then disregard you like its normal thing to do. I don't know where to start with the talent of this beautiful woman. This song has helped me in my darkest times. I back slid from God, thinking I can do it on my own. I went through a lot of challenges , drinking, fornicating , losing my faith, losing my mom, my god mother, losing hope. I even contemplating suicide because I felt my life wasn't worth it, I didn't deserve my family. But her song helped me find my voice again in calling out to God. It's been rough the last few months, I lost my best friend to cancer a month and half ago and lost my daughter in April. I've been down and struggling with depression , but hearing this song again in the right time, has brought me to use voice again. This song touches me in a different way. Transparency time: I am homeless, and unemployed right now. The person that is allowing me to stay in her home was my friend but has become increasingly verbally abusive towards me. I'm listening to this now, and wondering when God will bring me out of this pain and confusion. My heart is breaking.
