This gives me hope for my cousin who just suffered 3 weeks ago from a pontine stroke. They had to insert a trach and he has had some progression through little finger movements when hearing certain voices and words and singing. He also moves his feet and opens his eyes when he hears us say particular things and sing certain things. His eye look up and down and he just started having his eyes open for longer periods of time like 10 to 15 seconds to 30 seconds. They have him a feeding tube because of the feeding tube. He is also moving his mouth a little bit. He is only 63 which he had his birthday the day after his stroke. I believe that God will heal him so I continue to keep praying and speaking positive over him. I am looking forward to the day he can come off the tube. And be able to talk to his loved ones

I am also a stroke survivor(june'21) and among my post stroke goals are to go to chef school and do some epic bike rides. Has jim made his denver to buffalo ride? i would love to cook and ride with him one day. hes abeautiful soul, a strong spirit, and I also love being alive! I had TIA while riding my bike, and it cascaded into a full on hemmorrhagic stoke over the following 72 hours. i was never locked in, and cant rejoice enough the fact I lived! and must send grattitude to the world class care provided to me by the polytrauma pros at palo alto VA facility. my enduring grattitude to them prayers for Jims continued recovery- may he grow "stronger every day"- my personal motto these days...

i hope someone can help my Dad. he currently had a stroke and he was the only breadwinner of the family. now hes been out of work and soon my little siblings wont be going to school anymore because we really dont have anymore left. My Dad is a estranged son of a veteran. my grandpa passed away a few years ago. we didnt get a chance to meet him because we live in the Philippines and hes in pennsylvania. my dads medicine is $200 every 5 days and we really dont know where to get that amount without asking for help. I hope someone kind reads this and lend us a helping hand. thank you so much
