Hola saben les confieso algo Jim Carrie en latinoamérica es muy querido, Jim Carrie dió el toqué que faltaba en esa parodia. El era el que faltaba. Saludos desde Chile de parte de este boliviano
I watched this video for the first time in early 2000. And now I’m 35 years old, I have a wife and sons. and I still can’t get enough of this humor, the geniuses of humor, especially my beloved Jim Carrey. It's a pity time flies unnoticed and mercilessly. With love from the evil empire, from Mother Russia.
@@bobbydiggs8803 This is not surprising, in the USA they have always treated Russia and Russians this way, even in films Hollywood makes it so that Russians are almost always evil. Although when Americans come to Russia they are Surprised that Russia is completely different, and the people are different, not like the propaganda represents it.
Legend has it that these three are still somewhere in some city, still hopping bars, still bobbing their heads and still dancing around to music only they can hear...
"Another Night at the Roxbury" with these 3 should have existed. They work good as hell together haha amazing how Carrey just fits amazingly fine in an already fantastic duo
@@anthonygordon9483 Oh, yeah, I remember when I began watching the movie and saw those two guys appear in a setting very similar to this sketch I got really excited. Eventually I got disappointed because none of the funny stuff from the sketch was in it. I also expected Jim Carrey to join the duo at some point but sadly, he never did, even though one of the characters even mentions "There's Jim Carrey." and apparently goes to meet him off-screen.
Calm down....rookie. It's a funny skit...although it becomes repetitive after the first 3 encounters. As for being all-time funny? Nah.....SNL goes back to the 70's....In Living Color...the 80's...and don't forget about MAD TV. So, cool it with the ALL-TIME accolades...
1:58 the part where Carry pushes the girl out of the way, it was improvised. I once got to meet Chris Kattan after a standup show, I asked him about this specific scene in the skit and he gave me a nice 5 minute story how it was improvised by Carrey to push Cheri out of the way without him telling Chris or Will. After it was over, Katan and Ferrell were agreeing Carrey made that skit so much better than what was written.
Just think of all the comedy we missed out on because Jim Carrey wanted to be taken seriously and starred in Dramas and Chris Farly passed. It almost makes me mad at the world. They were comedic Geniuses. Jim can still do it. Just doesn't like to I guess. So now we got will Ferals generic a$$ for comedy. He is good but not great like Jim.
@@patfrerking To an extent, Farley’s death also had something to do with wanting to be taken seriously. From Farley, he did want to always be known as “that fat guy that falls down”. I think his death had something to do with his self esteem… Anyways, the culture today wouldn’t have allowed comedy that Farley and Carrey did back then. You can already see many negative comments on Carrey’s old films (ex. Ace Ventura) from this generation screaming “sexist”.
@@anthonygiarrusso4312it’s the very first in a series before the movie. Others included Tom Hanks, Sylvester Stallone, Martin Short and Pamela Anderson. NONE of them came close to this one.
3:02 Actually a brilliant look into the psyches of these gentlemen. Literally all of their limitless confidence comes from the song; as long as it plays, they're invincible.
When it comes to physical comedy Jim Carey is a genius. He is able to move his head as if his neck is made of rubber. It’s insane. The other two comedians are also comic geniuses in their own right.
I heard an interview way back where Carey explained that when he went to a bar, he noticed guys next to him basically moved their heads in sync, this is how he came up with the idea.
@@kiriblakeley7205 I’m over here thinking. Like I never seen this but I seen the movie. Just got done watching it right now. N Carey I’m not in it lmao
@@kiriblakeley7205 Depends. If he was the host that week then usually SNL try and incorporate Host ideas so both could be true. Carrey could have mentioned about the head bobs and Chris Kattan could have expanded it into the skit. For example Steven Seagal is meant to be the worst SNL host cos all his ideas were atrocious and he wouldn't play ball with any skits that poked fun at him.
This skit had already been done by Ferrel and Kattan numerous times on other episodes. Carrey was just one of the hosts that week and was the perfect 3rd person to add to this type of skit. He had nothing to do with the original concept though.
@@nwo4-Life It was their first skit of this and it was with Carey(Probably Jim's idea). This what propelled them to continue this with other and made a movie from it.
It was the first time I watched Jim Carrey with this performance😂 I wish the world was like him. If only they were people who made people happy and smile when they saw them. I wish times would change and her early days would come back🐣👽
I had no idea this was originally an SNL skit! The phone flipping and antenna pushing… then blowing the CD. The late 90s/early 00s were something else 😂
If I did my research correctly, this particular episode of "The Roxbury Guys" recurring sketch originally aired on Saturday Night Live (SNL) on May 18, 1996 with Jim Carrey as the show's guest host. It marked the first time that Haddaway's hit song "What Is Love?" was used in the sketch, as well as the first time that the show's guest host (Carrey) was featured as the third member of "The Roxbury Guys". It was the 20th and final episode of Saturday Night Live (SNL) to air during the show's 21st season (406th episode overall since SNL's beginning in 1975).
This came out the year that my daughter was born. I showed her this video when we lived in Germany, and she about died with laughter. There is also a skit of this with Sylvester Stallone and one with Pam Anderson. Both very funny as well😀🥰
I can honestly say that this got better from the first night it aired to now. Jim was in his prime at this time. I remember during the monolog he was like "watch me sell out big time"🤣
Possibly the funniest clip I have ever seen in my entire life 🤣🤣

You know its an iconic scene when the weak link in the trio is Will Ferrell lol.. and MAN is Jim Carrey's head bob on POINT! Dude has like a double-jointed neck!
@@Mah0meb0y bruh Chris Kattan is way better than Will in this sketch. Im not saying Will was bad at all, but Will was def kinda stiff and lacked the energy Jim and Chris brought to each scene. Its opinion, but its still clear as day.
Now that's a night out on the town. And I definitely know the feeling when you have a jam that just get you all the time. I have a video from the early 2000's of my brother doing this while drinking to network it's one of my favorite memories
This level of comedy is perfection, Jim Carrey and the rest of them nailed it. I would love to see them redo this skit just for old times sake. Jim Carrey's head bob and facial expressions are hilarious.
2:40 They make this scene so much funnier by bobbing their heads to a slow dance song. I'm going to get my twin brother and best friend to do that at my older sister's wedding.🤣
@@wiredforstereo I got that salary point but the fact is, if Jim was in the The Roxbury Guys. it would have been the best hit of the summer. considering Jim was the rising star at that time, one after another all of movies were becoming a hit
Recuerdo q lo escuché cuando tenía unos 5 años era una de mis música favoritas y ahora lo escucho y me recuerda cuando era niño q tiempos tan hermosos:''')
1 John 4:8 - But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love. 1 John 4:16 - We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in his love. God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them.
What a legend. Castmates say Jim Carrey was extremely hard to work with on SNL - he would commit so much into his skit roles that he was hard to keep up with. That's Will Ferrell, "having trouble keeping up with Jim Carrey"
I spent the Summer of 1996 in the US as a student and genuinely remember watching this at the time and laughing my ass off!! Brings back great memories of Wildwood NJ!
