He’s explained this before. He’s very philosophical. He’s one of those people that believes in the theory that everything is nothing real or important just a collection of tiny particles/atoms/matter. Illusion like, simulation like.There is many convincing experiments and factual information that supports this idea. He has said since he is just a collection matter “dancing” In a human form, that a good thing to do is change the “movement” and “atmosphere” of wherever he is, by being silly he changed the atmosphere, he sees everything as just a field of particles “dancing” And so people in an audience to him are just other forms of atoms that don’t matter “dancing” and “living” and he feels powerful when he can change the entire “field of conscious particles” just by acting silly. In short , he acts silly and dumb just because He can.

No worries mate, was being a bit facetious with that (towards myself) but left it as essentially agreeing with you. People are multifaceted, Jim Carrey is a great demonstration of this. I have huge respect for Jim and don't have to agree with everything he does to observe his sincerity. Genuinely it was 'Trumputin' that likely initiated my reaction though, I give you, I hadn't heard that one before haha. :P Anyway, thanks for not responding negatively to my sarcastic bitterness (XD) and cheers for the compliment, I appreciated that. Motivation can be hard to come by and a random nudge like that can be inspiring!

That cracks me up. It took several deaths in my family for me to realize that disagreements are never black and white. Personally, I'm ready for the gray (or grey) aliens to just come in and finish us off. We're likely too stupid to make any further advancements, as a species. Judging from calling me, "mate", can I assume you're from the U.K. or Australia? Maybe you're an American who just likes that word. I don't know, but if you're not American, it may interest you to know that a very popular political bumper sticker in October-November of 2016, was a way of saying we really didn't have any decent choices left for president. It looked similar to the Bernie Sanders sticker, but said: "HUGE METEOR - 2016" I'd be willing to guess, "HUGE METEOR" was able to chalk up a few thousand write-in votes nationwide.

It's great to see jim doing so well, after the last few years of him saying he wasn't going to do comedy anymore........ I think he has had a lot of self reflection and time to heal. His hope for humanity and our future is awesome!! His art is also great! He is a true artist and I wish him well with this new show. I know I will be watching it😙😁❤💋

@Emperor Farage Contrarily, people who are depressed generally don't like to experience enjoyment at all. Depression is typically elicited by an innate negative outlook on things. Optimistic people, outgoing people, extroverted people -- these are the types of people that seek joy in laughter. I think you're referring to depressed comics. Yes, sometimes people put on a mask to obscure their depression by acting out and being silly, but those cases are few and in between. Depression has many stages and it affects people differently. Most depressed people don't like to see other people having fun, it just reminds them how unhappy they are. I don't think people understand just how common depression is. Most people don't even know they're depressed, by the symptoms are usually blatant. Admittance and acceptance are the first steps to recovering from depression.

@@trinitylivingston1286 Absolutely. I understand that the severity of depression varies per individual. Also, I think I've mentioned the "masks" people wear to obscure their inner demons. As a conscious, observant person, I think I notice things most people don't. I can always point out disingenuousness and insincerity. Additionally, as a cynic, I think ALL people are fake! Maybe it's me, but in just living and watching other people live, I believe 4 out of every 5 people suffer from some form of mental health disorder. I'm no psychologist, but again psychology is a science, and science is only the study of facts. Facts can be easily determined through experiments and observations. I study people, and it's a FACT that something ain't quite right with the "average" person! 🤔

Who's hating? I explicitly said I enjoyed him that way too. I love all shapes and forms of Jim Carrey, and most of all I love that he can be whoever the hell he feels like being. But whenever that coincides with him using his god-given talent to make people laugh and be happy, man, I can't help but be appreciative.
