As a pure heel MJF is better but I’ve never seen people outright boo so loudly for MJF like they do for Dominic. People were literally booing so loud he couldn’t talk

At this point Dom is getting better heel reactions from fans than MJF is. In part because some AEW fans are too cool for school and are going to treat MJF like a baby face and cheer him. Everything Dom is doing right now is getting the kind of reaction a promotion would WANT a heel to receive. The WWE fans are along for the ride in this story and doing their part to make sure Dom gets the heel reaction a heel is supposed to get.

It's fascinating that over the course of 5 months or so, Dominik Mysterio went from being the nepotism kid that looked out of place in a match to being positively compared to the top heel in the business.

I can't wait to see Dom with either the IC or US title he'll be insufferable... It'll be awesome

IWC were wrong about Dominik like they’re wrong about everything. Now look at them trying to rationalize how MJF is still the better heel even though he gets cheered while Dom gets booed intensely. Dom also doesn’t have to resort to basic cheap heat like MJF.

I think Dominik has shown to be a better pure heel. There is strong hate and resentment for Dom and he's feeding off of it. MJF is often applauded and appreciated for his heel work. I think if people like you for your heel work, it kind of defeats the purpose of the heel work. No one would ever cheer for this version of Dom they way the crowds often do for MJF

Dominik is much more over in the traditional sense of what a Heel is. He also doesnt need to insult the town or do song & dance routines or endless talking segments putting down the lockerroom,he’s just genuinely smug and ppl hate it. The few ppl that do boo MJF are doing it almost out of instruction because thats what they’re suppose to but nobody is yearning to smack him like Dominik.

Dom is the hotter heel right now tbh. He doesn’t have to say crazy insane things like mjf to get heat, he can say simple stuff and doesn’t have to come up with stories about accidents or curse. MJF seems to have to constantly come up with dastardly things to do and eventually he won’t be able to come up with something to one up himself and everyone will be bored.

All I'm saying is that the future for heels looks very bright regardless of who you're picking here

Dom or LA Knight for MITB. These are the only options.

I don’t think MJF can long term generate genuine heat when everyone can tell they are being worked and love him for it. It’s like prime Piper or Flair being heel, it wasn’t hate or “I want to see him get comeuppance” heel heat.

Dom is fantastic. MJF will burn thru all his greatest hits before his title run is over.

Dominic should win MITB. They heat and overall hate he would get from cashing in on a beloved face would be CRAZY.

Let's be real here...MJF's reign has been lackluster, and he doesn't have that territory heel heat like Dom has....

However you define it, no one in the business comes close to getting the genuine heat from the fans that Dominik gets. Hell, I honestly don’t even remember the last time anyone has had this much heat. It’s been years.

As a heel Dominik obviously it's not even a comparison. People don't dislike MJF, he's actually very likable and funny. People only boo him because they feel they have to because he forces them too with his heel antics but a lot of the time he's getting cheered. People legitimately hate Dominik, it's very different.

Dom could be one great wrestling match away from that conversation, but he’s not there yet. I do appreciate how far along he has come in the space of a year.

The problem with MJF is that because the smark AEW audience tends to switch people from face to heel depending on the city or who they are in a program with, Tony might be tempted to play around with his alignment and derail his heel momentum. The bad booking in AEW might do it even if there is no turn for MJF.

The thing most people liked about MJF, was him always being kayfabe in interviews and interactions OUTSIDE the ring. It really wasn't actual wrestling and it was only a handful of promos. He really hasn't done any of that lately. And he has gotten stale in a lot of folks minds. He was really overhyped by the IWC too early and too soon.

I was at the Dominic meet and greet during wrestlemania weekend and he was kayfabing.

I genuinely applaud Dominik and WWE for committing to the thing with the HOF walk out thing and so on, but overall, MJF is way above him on pretty much every level... and you know it... lol

Dom is basically a heel manager who works. Now You can be the number one heel as a manager look at Bobby Heenan. But Dominic is not as good on the mic as mjf And he needs to hit the gym.

The pandemic era really helped out Dom in more ways than one. Besides his great dad of course, he had the other wrestlers involved in his feuds mentoring him like Seth Rollins and the Usos (whether they were facing him or on his side), then later on Edge, and now of course he has Damian Priest, Finn Balor, and Rhea mentoring him as well. On top of that, he's been working out with Sheamus to address his physique. Add in the mentorship of Konnan, and he's probably the most improved young wrestler of the current era, IMO. It helps that Dom is so well-liked too because he was raised by a good man in Rey. It's just a pity all of that couldn't keep Dom from going to prison and doing hard time. It's always the ones you least expect.

Dominik has more actual potential, where MJF is already more solidified as a top heel. He's already accomplished, at his company, what Dominik is dreaming of accomplishing.

Mjf is a babyface now besides cheap heat he gets the most cheers on the show. Dominik > Mjf

Dom has ways to go, but he’s doing great. I don’t think MJF is the best heel either currently though, because of how he is presented in AEW. I think Roman Reigns is the best heel currently and a lot of that has something to do with presentation.

Dom gets magma heat. He's the perfect Chicken Shit Heel. MJF gets cheap heat and ever since he's been champion, he seems aimless. That said though, Dom is in a better system with structure and better stars to have matches with. There's no one in AEW that MJF can have a compelling program with.

Dom will need to work on his speech and cadence. The character has a big future as a face or heel. His fathers legacy will always help him.

Dom won't surpass MJF by the end of the year. Dom has had one good match against his father (anyone can have a good or great match against Rey). Dom needs to prove he can have more good matches against other opponents.

Both are great Heels in what they do. MJF is better overall, but Dom continues to improve in every way. I think if and when Dom gets some sort of title then the conversation will get interesting. I can't wait to see what type of insufferable heel Dom will be as a champion.

For the short amount of time Dom has been around he is on a roll. MJF needs to update his character. He is becoming stale to me

The crowd doesn't have to work with Dom, they genuinely despise him and not in the "go away" heat kind of way.

I would love to see Dom team up with Vickie Guerrero and rename himself Dominik Guerrero. That would be the ultimate heel move. Then in a few years when he becomes the good guy again, he can take up the Mysterio name and earn his father’s mask and it’ll make an even bigger hero.

I would say no as well but as much as I like MJF as a talent, I do think he's been way too reliant on cheap heat here recently. And it's frustrating because he has the verbal skills and whit to get heat in better ways tbh.

Part of it is opponents, and Dominik's may be of higher quality, for the most part, but Darby Allin surprisingly stepped up, continue to prove he's the only other pillar that holds anything up.

Dominik is getting it. I think MJF already got it and he's smart about handling his body on top of that. So the question will be longevity. That said, I'd prefer these two to pair up in the WWE. Call them the Pricks. I bet these two would do monster business together as a long running team.

Dominik is superior to the wish version of Miz (aka MJF). MJF has had the same schtick since he’s been on tv and the ratings indicate he’s a worthless world champion.

I think the only argument for this is the Dominik actually gets out and out heel heat. MJF is brilliant, but he's so good people love him, so maybe Dom could be the better heel, in that sense, but MJF is another level.

AEW has no idea what to do with MJF now that he's become champion

At this point in time, I can't say that Dom maintains his heat without Rhea. That angle absolutely *made* him, and while they're starting to move RR into her rightful position as the face of women's wrestling, I don't know if any sort of official split (short of Dom costing her the title through some goofiness) leaves him at his current level of insane, nuclear-grade heel-ness. MJF, on the other hand, doesn't need anything but a mic. He dropped his stooges and Wardlow and wound up looking even better for it; he's like a basketball player who can create his own shot against any opponent and in any situation, which is a lost skill in the scripted promo era.

Dom is already ahead for simply not singing and dancing like a goof. The F in mjf is fast forward since the first time he did it with Jericho

Dominick is a great heel. His in-ring work is still very basic. He's never going to be his dad. Rey's acrobatic gifts are inborn talent and Dom cannot replicate them. But if you put him in there with guys like Reigns, Cody, Edge, and Rollins. Let him learn from the best storytellers in the industry, and you'll see him grow.

Dominik gets big heat even tho he hasn't got the greatest promo ability right now but it doesn't matter because he still attracts the heat from the crowd but I think because MJF has that great promo ability it's made the fans look at him more favourably because he does have natural charisma an the fans enjoy look forward to his segments an want to like him where as with Dom he comes across just as punk ass kid who thinks he's great but can't back it up on his own an it draws genuine distain from the fans. I mean give him a year or two let him get more confident with the mic work and going out there and doing the segments etc and you could have another real real top heel
