Russo has been booking one of our local long time Indy promotions here in Colorado for some years now. And while Rocky Mountain Pro was never a ROH circa 2006, but it was fun and made sense. Ever since Russo took over it's been really bad. Still, they do have a loyal audience and a somewhat popular RU-vid show, but it's unwatchable.

@barrylarry5359 his booking wasn't the nail to WCW's coffin- he designed the whole coffin and let other people build it. Before he came along WCW was stale but was a credible rival to the WWE thanks to all the work Eric Bischoff put in. Granted, Easy E made a lot of mistakes (like the Fingerpoke of Doom), but Russo did so much damage to WCW's credibility that it would never recover its status as a competitor to WWE despite having a lot of former talent signed in.

Everybody outside AEW's echo chamber has been saying the same about them. Russo wants to milk the money mark, he might be a better booker than Tony but that's another case of the "nicest guy in prison".

WWF pulled its highest rating ever about a month later with Russo at the helm. The criticism is definitely warranted, but he’s got a better success rate than Tony at least.
