Vince bought out Stampede Wrestling in the late summer of 1984. Stu & Bruce reopened Stampede Wrestling in the fall of 1985, with Vince's blessing, as the Stampede Territory would act as a farm system for the then WWF. The arrangement lasted to the end of 1989. Ted Arcidi, Don Muraco, Corporal Kirchner all wrestled for Stampede in 1987-88, while Bad New Allen, Mike Shaw, Barry O, Gangrel, & Steve Blackman were called up to work for the WWF. Of course, Owen Hart, Chris Benoit, Lance Storm, Brian Pillman all ended up in the WWF too.
