AEW is a place for guys to go where no one tells them to get in shape, and they’re allowed to do whatever they want, regardless of how stupid it is. Say what you will about WWE but they’ve proven to have been a great place for guys that obviously need discipline. Moxley and Keith Lee are the best examples off the top of my head.

I cant wait to see the VICE documentary on the Rise and Fall of AEW....

I've said since the second match he had in AEW, Keith Lee came in looking fatter and older and slower than his WWE run. And he's just gotten worse as we go. I'm not sure if it's the effects of Covid or what, but he looks awful in the ring.

I'm dealing with a very nasty bought of bronchitis and I choked when you said, "Crime against nature." I had to grab my Proair from laughing! Thank you Jim for helping me get through being sick.

I appreciate swerve and what he’s done backstage too however no matter how “coming of age” these new stars are, they will never understand how they should sell. They think any selling shows a weakness

Aew has done a masterful job of ruining FTR. They gave them all these secondary belts that give them something to look like a push on the surface level, while not giving them anything at the same time.

As soon as the match was announced I knew ftr were losing. Tony has in ftr the best tag team in the world working for him and he just devalues them and his own company by not having him them as the champions of his company. He's obsessed with the hardly boys just like he's obsessed with olivier and jericho. I'm pretty much done with all friends wrestling and I was really happy when it started in 2019. Feels like il have to go back to nxt and maybe give hhh a chance and watch their main programme again. All 'Elite' Wrestling .... I'm done with that bs.

Tony Khan has disrespected a generational talent such as FTR. I can only hope they go back to WWE and get that big pay day/respect that they deserve.

FTR shouldn't challenge for the belts while Acclaimed has them But at the same time they don't need to be losing to Keith Lee and Swerve especially when they don't get used at all

Wrestling is a mix of 'wrestlers' and 'personalities'..since TK is a WCW fan..look at how WCW treated Dean Malenko 96-98..no he never main evented against Hogan or Sting..but he was not pointlessly jobbed out. They have all these employees..nobody can have a 5 minute match w FTR ,so they can get some TV wins?

At some point Jim has to admit that as good as FTR are, they have to be taken to task for going along with this stuff in/around the ring. Jim does it with everyother wrestler, but because he loves FTR he continually gives them a pass. Just sayin'

I don’t want to hear about the “Rankings” anymore. FTR were number one contenders for half the year & had to have a number one contender’s match against the former champs who only became champs because they somehow got a title shot before FTR.

This match had probably the worst hot tag I have ever seen, where Swerve tagged in Grimace and fatty proceeded to kinda just walk into the ring.

This is one of the best and most entertaining match breakdowns Jim Cornette has ever done. Thank you, Jim and Brian.

Funniest part is I can easily imagine Omega jumping to WWE. You think he and the Bucks will stay on board the ship they blasted the hole in?

Why does every single match in AEW and WWE need to go five minutes longer than it should? It seems like both companies use the apex of a match on a near fall and then end the match on a wet fart.

I don't know why Tony despises FTR to be his AEW tag team champions, it's so disappointing to see them lose.

Lee and Cole have been disasters in AEW we didn't know Vince was gonna retire but imagine if they would of stayed in WWE Cole wouldn't look like a walking skeleton and be out currently with a concussion probably be in the mix for the Intercontinental belt atm. Lee would probably be on raw and could of had a few bangers with Lashley for the US belt.

I just remembered that FTR/Gunn Boys “feud” started like a month ago when the Gunns interrupted an FTR interview & it wasn’t addressed again until this episode of Dynamite

My problem with this match is that the outcome was known from the second it was announced; swerve and lee are in a feud with the current champions. The current #1 contenders are good guys like the champions are, so wouldn’t make sense for them to fight (yes I know, but disregard khan’s booking), and they have had words with the ass boys for a while without anything coming of it. Plus, ftr has statistically proven they will almost always lose their matches on free tv (whether in singles or tag action). The fact that the match wasn’t that good was just the cherry on top of this mountain of dissapointment

There's alot going on here. FTR are the 2nd most over team in the company, which the Bucks wanted. The problem for them is #1 is the Acclaimed and they didn't see that coming. I don't see a world where Bucks are going to be able to poltick past them both back to the top . They cost the company a good deal by not doing the honors for FTR for all the belts.

Who remembers that me too, thing and Keith Lee joined in with his terrifying story of a drunk older woman coming on to him in a bar. That's your huge monster heel ladies and gentlemen. Compare that to the real men that were shall we say creating memories in the motel where the ECW guys stayed.

It’s really a crime that FTRs push in AEW has been so underwhelming. And for nothing really. Luchasaurus and Jungle Boy turned so it’s not like their reign earlier in the year was necessary. Keith and Swere is a thrown together team. It just doesn’t make any sense

This match was so pointless. If you were going to have Keith and swerve go over I would have rather just seen Keith and swerve get the rubber match booked rather than burying FTR in the process. Anything but this and bury the best tag team in the world. The Young Bucks have completely sabotaged FTR with the help of Tony Khan. They are the biggest babies ever. I wish Dax and Cash were in the locker room to welcome them back to beat the shit out of them again.

I saw where Hit Row was having a 6 man tag match vs the Legados on SD and that Hit Row would have a mystery 3rd partner and I was really hoping it was Swerve, but it ended up being Shinsuke.

If I was Tony Kahn, I would be listening to these match reviews and take notes on how to improve the quality of his matches and matchmaking

I know the match was a bit of a mess, but the finish was the right call. I would love to see The Acclaimed vs FTR down the line after The Acclaimed get some more defenses under their belt. The Bucks won't let this happen because they are allergic to money, but have both The Acclaimed and FTR build up a bunch of wins against other teams and have the title match at the next PPV after full gear. A match between the two now would just seem like they are being booked in a corner, while waiting a few months would allow The Acclaimed to drop the titles without taking too much damage or FTR losing to what would appear to be an equally strong team.

FTR should be champs.. swerve should be a singles competitor..have young bucks, best friends, Acclaim, Garcia and Guevara and others that are better workers in tag division.. get rid of all the factions... Have some real heels ..that people can give some real heat to...

A lot of people have told Keith Lee that he shouldnt talk like that in promos and he is still stubborn and refuses to change, even though it's obvious that everybody else knows better than him, that already tells you everything you need to know about that guy, he's a lost cause, just like the rest of these passive aggressive menchildren that don't want to take advice in that locker room

I enjoyed this match and can now see more rivalries being created for now and the future. No issues with this at all. However, yes the belts they carry dont mean shit. However, to say they wont be on top soon enough maybe even before 2023 is nieve

I thought this was stupid from jump... FTR haven't lost in ages as a team so why should they be in a number one contenders match??? Against a team who just lost the Belts lol... Makes Zero sense

I thought they should give the belts to FTR and handshake, middle finger to the hardly boys and AEW. Reminds me of when Verne Gagne wanted to put the belt on Scott Hall. FTR is always great, Swerve as a heel is fantastic and needs to go solo. While Keith Lee needs to be sent back to Catering with JeriBloat and Emi Sakura.

Swerve and Keith were clicking.. had a great match vs the Acclaimed and another one vs FTRmm but while Swerve is having a natural heel turn Lee is staying babyface... Why?? Are there other plans, makes no sense

FTR has officially been buried. So has Miro and so has Starks. MJF is about to get buried with this face turn. And even if it’s all a swerve it still won’t make sense having him beat to a pulp a days before.

Apart from that atrocious hot tag and the swerve botch on the ropes, this was the best tag team match I had seen in a very long time. I enjoyed it Although I hate the fact that even when I'm watching good wrestling, my head is thinking, "If FTR win they will have to lose to The Acclaimed cuz those guys have gotten popular. So I think FTR is gonna lose" Smh 😑😑 I hate how I can't suspend my disbelief even for a second to think that I'm watching an actual fight/contest rather than constantly thinking about the booking and what "they" are gonna do

I figured this would be the match that broke Jim lol. He just tells Brian I’m done I’m not reviewing this crap anymore lol. Whatculture and cultaholic those guys always talk about how great kieth Lee is, I never watched much of him in nxt but I don’t get what the excitement was about watching him in aew. He moves around in slow motion it’s like watching Omos.

When I was watching this match I didn’t think it was that bad, but hearing Jim break it down makes me realize it was kind of a mess.

Keith Lee screwing up the superplex and splash was ridiculous. He went for the over sell and completely ruined it. The more I see him now, the more I see why WWE dropped him. And like Adam Cole, he was absolutely amazing in NXT. I was so pissed when they had the Lee/Brock showdown in the Rumble a couple of years ago, only for Braun to get in the way so Brock could dump them both.

I think Swerve would be a great heel.They should turn him ASAP.Never been a Lee fan even though he does do some impressive things.They gotta give The Acclaimed some defenses before FTR takes the belts.

if the money is in the chase, there is no reason why they cant put the belts on FTR for a while and let acclaim fight their way back to them even if it requires using a transitional tag team like the ass boys or swerve into our glory hole.

AEW don't deserve any of the following talent: FTR, Swerve, Starks, Hobbs, Jamie Hayter, Gunn Club. There's other talents I'm rooting for too but I mentioned people I'd argue are far too neglected and overlooked despite being some of the best already, or the next best thing. Hayter especially given she's absolutely head and shoulders above anyone in that women's division. Even in WWE I think her snug style would set her apart from the soft girly offense of most woman wrestlers. She fights exactly like you'd expect a working class English bird from a seaside town to fight and I love it lmao.

This is my problem with Cornette. He never blamed his favorites when they put together fucked up shit. FTR didn’t deliver and calling Swerve and Lee amateurs just to make FTR looks better is bullshit. FTR has just as much responsibility for the way they are Booker and how their matches go. So stop blame everybody else when your favorites do shit you don’t like.
